VALLETTA, Malta (di-ve news) -- April 10 2005 -- 1720CEST--A raid carried out on Sunday morning by Police members from the Economics Crime squad in Valletta lead to the confiscation of thousands of DVDs, CDs and Playstation games. All items, 10,700 in all, are suspected to be fakes.

The raid carried out after days of observation by members of the Squad and six persons have been arrested in relation to this find. The ages of these persons range from fourteen to fifty years, and hail from Pembroke, Bahar ic-Caghaq, Naxxar, Valletta and Hal-Qormi.

Duty Magistrate Dr D Montebello was informed of the case, and appointed several experts to assist in the inquiry. Investigations are still taking place and the arrested persons are expected to be arraigned in court in the coming days.""


hahahahaha his name is Monty and i have bought some copied dvd´s of this guy on the market, the pirated movies and Playstation games here in malta sells in normal stores, thats how bad it is down here!

you walk in to a videorental store and on the shelves you find ripped DVD movies, copied PS2 games, xbox games and other priated stuff.

and this guy owns them all hahahahahaha talk about getting busted!!

Here in the Markham/Scarborough area at Pacific Mall, it is a pirate's paradise. It is very well known to be selling these types of software so I am not sure why these shops are still open. Recently though, a couple of shops were raided by cops and news crews but these same shops still sell them.

Haha, I hear they raid that mall once or twice a year, and they just keep going. It's almost as if the raids are nothing more then token tributes or payoffs for the cops. :lol

seriously i think that the cops took the DVDs and split it between them after thís case is closed.

the cops are bastards down here, its all controlled by the maffia
