Aiight did anyone else catch this show? Am I the only one who just doesn't get this shit? The last little bit with the talking eyeball brought a chuckle out of me though.

Discuss.

BTW, Sealab rules!

That was really just... bad. Not funny, and Tom Goes To the Mayor's graphical style already felt "cheap" (no offense, Litigation), so going so UBER-cheap looking wasn't appreciated. I don't care if it was intentional, looking at fuzzy aliased "scribble" lines purposefully designed to look bad while accompanied by lame... no, it doesn't even merit getting a technical comment. That just really sucked and represented the bits of William Street I don't like. I like some of their other stuff, but that was just a compilation of their lame "awkward pacing" gags and vomit.

I hope this was just a one-off thing. If they've deluded themselves into thinking that people will appreciate a whole series of this, that's going to be a big waste.

I must say that Home Movies is an excellent show. It's funny as hell and IMO the most underated show on AS.

BTW, NOTHING forgives Super Milk Chan!

Yup. Totally sucked.

Why can't Williams Street give us more shows along the lines of Venture Brothers? You know, something that looks like an actual cartoon and not some 6th grade arts project. Adult Swim gets more than enough viewers (it's right up either at or near the top of the cable ratings on a daily basis), and the advertising money must be pretty good, not to mention they're backed by Turner's billions, so why can't they afford the production budget of your average run of the mill animated series?

I thought it was hilarious. But I've been accused of having a stupid sense of humor.

"I'm hired!" :lol

12 oz. Mouse was definitely kind of... not good. Occasionally a line came through and got a chuckle out of me ("Hand me a beer." "Aren't you driving?" "I was driving, but now I'm sitting back here with you.")

I'll stick with Aqua Teen and Family Guy, thanks.

I dunno. I kinda dug it.

This is coming from a guy that loved Super Milk Chan, though.

(You dumbass!)

Yep, I hate the trend of low-budget-looking awkward humor. It kinda worked in the beginning with the original Sealabs and ATHF, which is probably why ATHF deserves to stay on the air, though I don't personally like it *that* much. But with TGTTM and 12 Oz. Mouse (and lets not forget Squidbillies) it just becomes retarded and more of the same.

The two good exclusive shows to come out of Adult Swim lately were Venture Brothers and Robot Chicken. Both feature good jokes and decent production values. They need to continue this trend!

^^Couldn't agree more! It's time for AS to take that 15 minute, low budget format in a new direction. It's almost like someone made a rule that all the new shows have to use the dry, random style of humor.

Ugh, I can't believe they're still gonna go through with Stroker and Hoop and Perfect Hair Forever, those shows were awful, and no ATHF until December!!!!!!

Yeah... I can't remember the last time I turned off an new Adult Swim comedy in the middle since Milk Chan. This was even worse than PHF, which at least was funny in its random stupidity as a in your face one shot stunt.

Super Milk Chan was so fucking stupid.

Adult Swim's original content has been unwatchable for quite some time now. The first noticeable victim was Sealab 2021 Season 3. They turned it into a show where they fit in as much *beep* as they could in 11 minutes. Then it turned to crude humor for all. I mean Brett Butler calling someone a cracker went against his character for the first two seasons but the series turned to shit so the writers probably figured that they might as well go DEFCON 5 of shittiness.

ATHF is fucking awesome and has been moving away from the budget look for a while now. Going by my DVDs, since the third episode, I noticed they were moving towards more and more of a budget. I still like the Cybernetic Ghost. I also demand they release Season 4 on DVD here soon.

Robot Chicken fucking sucks with maybe one or two laughs. Why people give Seth Green a chance to live, let alone a chance to make a TV show is beyond me. If I seen that guy walk by, I'd give him a hard kick in the nuts so he couldn't procreate. Seriously. He's that bad. I think most here like it because of the Mario Kart scene.

Venture Bros. is a great show and I'd like to see it do well. It could be the show that ultimately saves Adult Swim since this random, schizophrenic humor got old a year or two ago.

Sure, Robot Chicken is hit and miss, but at least its a well-put-together show and the animation is stellar for stop-motion.

Absolutely, you know some of those smooth-motion dance sequences took them a hell of a lot of time and work to get right.

Eh, but I like Robot Chicken for the most part, and it's nice that they're so geeky about things, insisting on using the real names and looks of thing (or as close as they can get), which makes the parodies funnier, not to mention some of the VAs they bring in.

Never saw PHF, sounds like I'm not missing much. And Stroker and Hoop just looked terrible (both art-wise and in terms of gags), so I didn't bother to watch it when it first aired.

If Adult Swim/CN was able to get the rights to Super Milk Chan from ADV, what is preventing them from pursuing Cromartie? The randomness of the show would be a perfect fit with their comedy lineup.

The AnimeOnDemand network is showing Cromartie so I'm guessing they own the rights to air it.

Yeah, I watched episode nine last night thanks to that neat little channel. AnimeOnDemand is ADV, and they're also airing Abenobashi, which has been licensed by ADV to G4.
