Che, who was the EA dude pimping Fight Night 3?

He was deliciously neurotic and obviously in love with the franchise he's working on(contrast this with Full Auto guy who felt as if he was reading a waiting room pamphlet). I shall dub him EA's Spalding Gray!

Oh, that's Fight Night producer/designer Kudo Tsunoda... really cool and down to earth guy/gamer. He's easily excitable, especially during presentations, but if I had to pick between the two, I'd rather have 1000 words a minute versus uncomfortable pamphlet reader.
 
It's in the 1UP contract to mention or show GAF at least once, ISN'T IT!

full auto looks good and more importantly fun. fight night looks incredible... but not so fun.


che, can you post more impressions on full auto? hows the frame rate? any idea of the # of tracks?
 
hmmm full auto looked sweet, sounded like they had made a lot of improvements off the demo + che sounded impressed with it. Fight night looked great, very impressive stuff. Wish the gameplay was quicker, real boxing is just far faster.

Ten for ten. Good show! I now understand the hype for Black and have joined in drooling anticipation of it...even despite the lack of co-op and multi. Perhaps an X360 milking with these missing things is forthcoming?

Nah, it picked up after awhile. I usually get speeds of around 500 kb/s

Didn't care much for any of the games listed (Black fans, check out GameTrailers for more gameplay footage, including some HD stuff), but Che's one liners were consistently awesome.
 
Che--if you can make future episodes with more you and less Jane that'd rock. Maybe even more Andrew Pfister.

And maybe further exploration on the "che is a cheap bastard" angle explored here. Maybe some Saturn games popping up out of nowhere...!
 
Full Auto looks even better in person than the video played during the episode... I can't wait for that game. Glad to hear they delayed it a bit to polish it up, Full Auto really rocks.
 
Amazing work. I'm anticipating the return of the 1up show more than anything on TV.. well other than Arrested Development. But seriously you guys are doing an amazing job, and I hope it's getting a lot of interest.

Actually, we always try to extrapolate direct feed we get for the 1UP Show into their own direct feed videos for games, so usually, you can find direct feed for all those games here. But because it's the holiday break and a lot of folks are out of the office, you won't find EVERYTHING on that index page right now. Still, have a look each week, that way, you can probably avoid the 1UP Show altogether. :)

Yes, of course. :P Xbox Live, 8 player deathmatch races. Sadly, no team modes, but you can race against bots. Splitscreen is there if you're into gimping yourself.

I dunno, I haven't played the OXM demo of Full Auto so I'm not sure why some of you are down on it, but the version that Ryan and I saw and played for the 1UP Show totally blew us away, if only because it was so INSANELY BUSY. It's pretty much what you see in those videos. Shit blowing up all over the place, dropping mines, oil slicks, smoke screens for those behind you while popping missiles and buckshots for competition ahead of you. It's a pretty good time, although, I'm not quite sure if the multiplayer will have the legs of something like Mario Kart DS online... simply because it might prove to be more flash than substance.

Definitely too early to say, but I'm excited about the game. Framerate in the build we played definitely wasn't an issue.
 
This was one of the first games I reserved. People shitted on it on GAF, I've stood by this game from the beginning. It screamed fun to me.
 
That was the first footage i've seen of Black.... WTF me got happy stick in pants. I just hope that gun can keep up with black. Good shit che really cool stuff. And that racing/shooting game looks awsome too.

And you guys and your skits =P

Just caught up and watched every single 1up show so far, and I gotta say: Good work guys. I'm not embarrassed for gamers everywhere when watching it, which is more than I can about all the other game shows ever made (tv or otherwise). The humour doesn't always hit the mark, but it's a pretty good effort all around. Gizmondo shit always cracks me up, though.

Full Auto looks awesome. I've been waiting for this game since E3. Very excited.

And Fight Night looks CRAZY. Can't wait.
 
EA seems to stand for Eat Amphetamines! :D I got the Quicktime version and running that guy in fast forward is hilarious because he NEVER pauses!

Full Auto looks superbly crazy though I'm a little disappointed that they didn't come up with a crazy storyline about the whole thing!

Oh and fuck the Glitter Girl hate, the PDZ intro is great though I wouldn't listen to the song out of that context!
 
Another great show

FN3 truly looks nextgen IMO....and to a lesser extent, so does Full Auto

I semi find Black interesting but need a story. Will have to wait for that

The "skits" just aren't really funny to me and I find myself skpping past them to get to the actualy game coverage.

Still an awesome show though. Awesome job 1up and thank for this, we all needed it after the abomination that was G4 :lol

Mark is an expert when it comes to selling you on games. Just look at my Pokemon Yellow obsession.

Future episodes of 1UP Show needs more john tv.
 
Not as fun or funny as the last two shows. I guess it has more to do with the game content than anything.

p.s. Fight Night's animation is last gen total.
