1up Show, when?

the 1UP show will be up by the end of our work day today. it's compressing out now and it's taking a long ass time.

it's an extra long show where we talk and show madden 360, mario kart DS, socom PSP.

we also take a walk to mcdonalds to see how good wayport really works (uh, not so well apparently).

How's madden shaping out? Is it just better graphics thrown over old gameplay, or are the movies misleading?

Hmmm... you talk about SOCOM PSP and Mario Kart DS? Based on your comments on them here I gotta watch this sad attempt to troll Mario Kart.

haha, the funny thing is, i do a mock trollery of Mario Kart in the video.

p.s. i enjoy Mario Kart DS. so eat it.
 
Why does it always take a couple of days before the episode shows up on the podcast feed?
 
I came home expecting the 1up show to be up:( The BlizzCon feature will have to suffice.

I know you guys are working hard. Keep it up.
 
So next-gen is gonna be about little non-gameplay details that somehow make the experience marginally more enjoyable?

EDIT - And because this does sound too antagonistic, the Madden segment was nice otherwise :)

I thought it looked almost as bad as Metroid Prime Hunters quality when I saw it in motion... but I didn't want to say anything.

it actually looks much better in reality. Sony sent the footage on a beta tape, and the quality was pretty bad, especially blown up to fill the screen. When you see it in motion, it's still impressive, even if the graphics aren't perfectly polished.
 
i'm gonna go ahead and commend you guys on your episodes.

i like the comedy elements at the beginning of your vids... but don't get too cocky with it. ;)

keep it up. it's great watching.

Not my decision to do things that way. Ziff's various ways are often mysterious and not meant for a peon like me to understand.
 
Another question for you guys. Do you have a complete or close to complete build of Madden? If yes could you do a lot of us a favor and sim a year in dynasty mode and see if you can edit the rookies that come from college before you draft them. Also thanks fro the great video.

Well I could understand if they zipped several videos into the folder, or did it to make it smaller so it takes up less bandwidth from the servers, but actually the single video in the zip folder is smaller in size than the total zip file!! WTF! :lol
 
The rollercoaster for Madden 360 continues. I'm just going to have to trust the early impressions about the wealth of new animations in the game because when I see the videos I just don't see it.

Socom PSP looks interesting but choppy. Not a big fan of the series though.

Watching Mario Kart, I realized when I pick up my DS sometime in the next 6 months I'm going to have to remember to get some earplugs with them. I forget how bad SNES quality midi music and sound effects are. Ugh my ears
