1Up Yours (6/29/07)

I defiantly think Shane is playing a part on 1up Yours. I think he's even admitted to it a couple of times. Jon seems to be the most natural/real on the show.

Nope, I'm exactly as I was portrayed there. The only part that I hammed up is the misogyny on the podcasts, I don't actually treat women the way I made it sound. Otherwise, that's pretty much the exact jerk I am
sux to be me, rite
;)

Unfortunately, the same can largely be said about me (barring, ironically, my avid console fanboyism). Hence me having to find friends on the internetz.

Yeah, I might have swept this one with too broad of a brush. Shane, definitely. Total actor. Garnett, but then that act is a reactionary one. The rest I don't listen to, but they seem to follow pre-determined patterns, which leads me to feel as if it's awfully scripted, to amuse us here.

You're using the word "actor" a bit too harshly. Trying to be excitable and interesting doesn't mean you're acting or being something you're not.

I think Mark is my favorite 1up yours member. Even when Luke was around...

sry luke :(
Mark was great when he was on the show. But I think what makes the 1up shows so great isn't the individuals as much as the chemistry. They play off each other very well and have a great mix on the show every week.

Yeah but even so everyone still has their favorite Seinfeld or Beatle ect.

In regards to the 4th spot, I've found everyone they have brought in to be mostly informed, level headed, and enjoyable. Of all their guests, I've enjoyed Jeff Green and his off the wall humor, PC experiences the most. The guy shines like a good penny with the cast.

But now, I'm of the opinion that it serves 1UP Yours' interests and it's growing fan base to continue changing it up, bring someone in who has a different opinion, different experiences and humor. Kinda like how The 1UP Show handles showcasing it's huge cast, almost everyone has a turn at the helm.

Anyways. Looking forward to next week and their continued E3 talk.

It's like back in school when suddenly all the guys would talk a little louder, try to be funny at all cost and just generally make an ass of themselves without noticing it just because a girl is in close proximity.

People who know they're being watched play up. Nothing new here.

I hope not.

Well at least you are less bias than Garnett. Even though you both obviously supported Microsoft on the podcast.

I have to say though did anyone notice Garnett's reactions to LittleBigPlanet? Shane was like

"There's some haters or actually doubters of LittleBigPlanet here in the office"

Garnett said:
Oh come on No Way! The game is going to be phenomenal and really creative. There's really some haters in the office?

I think I'm not the only one who remembers Garnett having the exact opposite reaction right!?!?

It is always nice to change your mind but that abruptly is just Frackin ridiculous! :lol

I hope these guys aren't playing roles or reading scripts AltogetherAndrews.

Wait - which GOW? :lol
Don't start that Childish shit please God of War coined the term way before people tried to do it with Gears of War. Gears of War is Gears or maybe GeoW. It even had a sequel shortly after Gears.

Coping and Biting is unoriginal.

Thats something You can't Take no matter how Much Money you Have ;)
