There is a comfort seat for the RC390 in the among KTM Power Parts. Thicker, with a softer paddinglol. Nice looking bike, I fear for my ass though on that nonexistent seat.

Time to test the true off-road power of the KLR then?
Ooh, I thought you were American. The US flag is even on your avatar!
Anyway, my bike got some cool new stuff!
The downside to everything that was just installed is all the extra weight. I'm not exactly sure how much extra weight I added but it is noticeable. My rear shock hasn't bottomed out though, so that's good. Also, sometimes the panniers get in the way
Finished bleeding the brakes, changed the oil and filter, checked chain tension, lubed the chain, and checked my tire pressures and took Donatello out for the first ride of 2017:

Felt so damn good to be back. First ride since November.
Went out on the Firebolt the other week just to make sure everything was OK with rebuilt front brake.
God, I've missed riding.
Smaller displacement, sporty riding position... clearly you want an RC390!
Eh yeah, I haven't subtitled the video yet, but here's the project's first start and me riding it for 50 meters or so.
https://youtu.be/kKFxAhwggTQ (first part isn't entirely in focus, second part is luckily)
We're going for black plastics. Should work well with the rest of what's on there.
(In that sense) what I think is a pretty cool detail, is the magnesium/grey wheels. Those were never on Lightnings since they are Ulysses wheels. So nicely muted for such an outrageous bike.
Also, yeah it's weird seeing that missing tank. You do sometimes see custom buells with nothing but turbo setups and gauges that end up there and they just leave off the cover. Interesting, but I certainly like the cover there for visual balance.
I also thought the squealing at the start of the video was the engine, until I realised it was the tyre, heh
Looks awesome, Fallout, I look forward to riding the finished product.
Same, "oh no", heh. Those smiles are pretty great, very impressed in you and your father's work here.
That's too bad. Eurosport broadcasts it over here, but I'm guessing they don't in the UK?Unfortunately watching MotoGP either requires me to subscribe to Sky (not happening), switch to a slower Broadband service for the same money (BT), or fork out almost £200 for the streaming service
I mean, it's great that MotoGP do a streaming service (looking at you Formula 1), but I'm not paying out that much. Maybe I'll actually get over to Silverstone in person this year instead, though I say that every year.
Yeah, after seeing Ducati and Honda "efforts", it does kinda feels bad for the others who attempted to hide the aerodynamic surfaces at their best. Yamaha and Suzuki are basically unnoticeable, Aprilia's are more evident but the most refined. Ducati's solution is just hideous while Honda does not even try to hide them.By the way, any MotoGP fans in here? They banned last years' winglets, so now the fairing designs are coming back with a vengeance.

I don't know what to think. At least it will look like real prototype racing again? But god that Ducati is hideous.

Prototype racing means all and nothing. Just like the rules limits displacement or cylinders' bore, it is perfectly acceptable to forbid specific aerodynamics solutions. I'd rather see them throw money at technologies more meaningful for consumers. lmproved fuel economy, electric power trains and batteries, etc.
I read this 2 minutes after posting the avove http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/racing/dorna-electric-motorcycle-racing-series-2019/Yeah, electric power trains would be interesting, especially since if I'm ever to buy a new bike again, it will almost certainly be full electric.
Are 300/400 cc bikes out of question? The CB500 series is head and shoulder above those and less of a downgrade from the f650gs. And less thumper.Well, I've narrowed it down to Suzuki Tu250x, or Honda Cbr250r. Both bikes are just a few years old. After the f650gs I swore off thumpers, but here we are. Suzuki looks cooler But is dog shit slow, while Honda is all plasticy and just regular slow. A decision must be made...

This, I like this advice. My. Issue with faired bikes is the plastics always feel so cheap and they never end up fitting quite like they should. And, I really wanna make a cafe racer out of the little suzuki. It is why I was also considering the suzuki s40 since kit's are readily available for that as well (s40 gas tank too small, I'd be living at gas ststion) . Wait, how did you not enjoy street triple...!?If they're the same price and we're just looking at numbers, personally I'd go for the CBR. That Suzuki is pretty basic (it has a drum rear even), and the CBR is probably more re-sellable
That said, fuck it, just buy whichever one looks cooler to you and makes you happy. That's what its all about in the end, just decide whether you want a little sporty bike or a little retro bike. The last time I bought based on the best bike on paper I ended up with the Street Triple, which I never truly enjoyed.
It sounds a little like you don't really like the faired look of the Honda, in which case, take the Retro choice and be free
2500 USD, 2013, no drops or blemishes, full service history for both. What are they asking for those LeroyP?
Not out of the question, but cb300 and cb500 were both recalled in US between 2014 and 2016, so I figured I'd just stay away. And I'd love a Ninja 300 with abs, but damn they are still basically at sticker price even used. And, buying a used Ninja that hasn't been dropped a gazillion times is actually quite challenging. Are 300/400 cc bikes out of question? Lol, honestly leaning pretty hard toward the cbr 250. Things like having a fuel gauge, bigger gas tank, quicker pickup, and better breaks, Abs, kind of win out over looks. Plus I am biased to Honda and Yamaha over suzuki and kawasaki. Plus Honda will hold value well for when I eventually have the funds to upgrade.I say buy the Suzuki then man. If you look at it and it makes you happy, and it makes you smile when you ride it, then everything else is inconsequential
CBR owner bringing the bike by in a few hours. It has 5k less miles than the TU, is female owned, and basically brand new . My mind is. Pretty made up. At the end of the day the answer is to have multiple bikes. One for economy and city, a dual sport, a super sport, and a harley/vintage cruiser. Can you test ride them? Half an hour in the saddle will tell you all you need to know...

And a Buell because those reign supreme.
There is an evident slide mark on the painted exhaust. Has she been informative on it? Is the swing arm fine or there's a dent behind the exhaust?Got it. Thanks guys for talking me out of suzuki.

I figure I just need an GSX-R1000 and I've pretty much got all my bases covered.
Also I need a new garage...
You need a new garage because of the many bikes you keep adding to your collection ?
Also, how was the snow in your area? We got less than what the weather said. Wasn't so bad.
She was up front. No denting behind exhaust. Got her to take a few hundred more off asking price. I plan on changing the muffler if anyone has any suggestions. There is an evident slide mark on the painted exhaust. Has she been informative on it? Edit: just signed up for insurance. 77dollars a year lol. Score

18" and heavy winds, but it all settled down nicely and got everything cleared this morning in 2.5 hrs including the animal pens. Come ski our new hill:

Whaaaaat!
What the hell. I pay $17 per month for my Honda PCX150. It's not a lot, but still! Who's your insurer? My PCX got scratched up by some hit-and-run cuntass and the response from my insurance was useless, so I might switch.
Those look great, and thanks.
Working on something similar. I want to be able to store my bikes in my own garage finally.
Very nice. It looks great in black.
Shit, that's a bunch of snow.
It looks like OVER makes exhausts for the 250r as well. I always thought they were the coolest. It's a Japanese brand though, not sure how easy it is to get your hands on one where you live.
Why doesn't Alpinestars sell all of their suits in North America???
I want the Challenger suit, but their site says not available in NA.
Whats the deal with these suits anyway? They seem like they are built for guys with Hussein Bolt legs and i always have a lot of baggyness going on below the knees.
Somebody out near Phoenix, AZ should hurry up and jump on this sweet homemade Ducati Quad
