When I hear about stuff like this frustration always follows as we no longer have punishments barbaric enough for justice to actually be served. Neither a life sentence or lethal injection come close to being harsh enough; this scum bag should feel every ounce of fear and pain the child felt and then, and only then should he be erased from existence.

This might... explain the oddness some people are saying he is displaying like only being there for a short time and expecting to play this weekend.
In the end... who the father was does not matter of course. A little child is gone for no reason at all..

His sentence should be 20 minutes alone with Adrian Peterson.
From what I understand of it, this isn't his first offense. I will never understand someone that stays with someone who beats them. Man or woman. The first time I get beat by the person that is supposed to be my partner and who is supposed to be on my side they get shown the door. There isn't a second chance.
My heart goes out to AP this weekend.

I must be getting different information then...I'm going wait until it is all out there...just seems odd. Guy has a bastard love child and is going around invoking the Lords name. Just seems like he is trying to invoke a lot of sympathy for a situation that would never have happened if he was a better man.

he is not invoking sympathy. the media jumped all over this because it's a story and he is constantly being asked about it. What do you want him to say? "I didn't know the kid so I'm not that sad"? It's got to be really confusing for him.

I'm still confused about what you're getting at. AP has barely even said anything about this. He thanked people on twitter for their support and that was about it. As with many people in similar situations he doesn't really want to talk much about it. And while he may have not really known the kid, it's still going to be one hell of a punch in the gut to find out that your kid had been killed.
Be honest or don't say anything at all. Explain the situation.

Why should he have to explain anything? Does he owe us his deepest thoughts or insights? He is being asked about it from every angle, he's not going around asking for this attention.
How do you put yourself in a position to have a 2 year old beaten to death?
And even if you can't possibly help yourself in being the "religion sucks and he's a hypocrite /edgy" guy, that's really got nothing to do with TMZ jumping all over this and him falling back on his belief system. Last I checked there were no perfect Christians/Muslims/Jews/etc but in how many ways is that NOT the point of anything going on right now?

This is so terrible. Peterson has really been through so much in his life. When he was 8 his brother was kid right in front of him by a drunk driver, his dad went to jail for 10 years when he was 12, and he tears his ACL two years ago, yet he somehow manages to retain a positive outlook on life and continues to push forward and succeed.
Such a testament to the human will and spirit, I hope he can recover from this tragedy somehow...

The don't invoke the Lords name and say he doesn't put anything on me that I can't handle. Especially when this whole situation occurred because you had a child out of wedlock. If your gonna take that route then I'll hold you partially responsible for recklessly bringing a child into this world.
Personally, I don't give a damn about Adrian Peterson. But I'm forced to hear this shit at work and it's annoying.

He's a flawed man, he'd probably be the first to tell you that. Your desire to try and turn him into a villain in a situation where a child was beaten to death by another man is silly.
Really? When you put your sperm into random women with no regard as to whether a child is born then you raise the probability of bad stuff happening(assuming you would be a good and protective father).
And I'm not some guy who runs a round bashing religion. I just hate people that selectively use it.
