Did the Michael one air in the EU or was it a US one?

I'll try and keep the OP updated as they share more stuff.

I was almost 14 when this thing launched. It makes me feel old.

Also, I was one of those weird kids that chose a Sega Saturn over a Playstation 1. I honestly didn't get a PS1 until about 1998 or so when I purchased one for SOTN and Ridge Racer Type 4. Even though I was impressed with games like Wipeout for the PS1 at launch, I really didn't like the system at all initially and owned both a Sega Saturn and N64 before I got around to getting one of these. But looking back on it, yeah it was an impressive console, and did deserve all the success it got.

My first time with PlayStation was in 1997. I was 9 years old and had an awesome babysitter who brought over the console with Final Fantasy VII. He had me play through the whole game over the course of a month. It was my first Final Fantasy, my first RPG, and was kind of a life changing experience. I've been with PlayStation ever since.

As far as EU ads go, I'd have to say Double Life is my favorite as well. As far as ads in general, the recent Michael ad definitely sticks out as well for its wonderful fan service.

And lastly, I'll leave this video here again that I created for the PlayStation 20th anniversary (sorry it focuses only on the mainline console).

Wait. Are people writing "dont do this to me" and "uh oh" because FF VII was the game that went from Nintendo to Sony or because they think this is a tease for a Remake?

Cause you know what?

It ain't happening.

I remember a teaser first on YouTube but as far as I'm aware it was never broadcast here :- (

I remember a shorter 30 second version of the video broadcasting on TV in America, but I could be wrong...

And thanks man! Glad you liked it!

My first console was a PS1.

I was very young, perhaps, way too young to be playing Resident Evil 1.

I sat outside my house with my friends after playing and was creeped the fuck out but absolutely loved it.

I've gotten every Playstation console since, and am not ashamed to say I will buy everything they release in the future without blinking.

My Dad introduced me to games, I love him for that :D

Pity, all he does is play tablet games and flight simulator these days.

I will never forget the look of sheer joy on his face when he ran pedestrians over for the first time in GTA: Vice City.

I imagine just because of the feels. Or they think they might need to replay it.

You obviously haven't paid attention to Verrendus, and the rumors all over twitter. It's being made, but what state it's in production wise is the question. It could be nothing but some artwork, screenshots of early renders and a script.

But it is happening, Square knows how much money is behind games from FF VII, Crisis Core for PSP sold extremely well.

I don't doubt it's in the oven, but it maybe being over shadowed by FF XV, Kingdoms Hearts 3, and what ever new JRPG Square said they are making.

That is brilliant. Thanks for sharing

Thank you! My pleasure. Just glad people are enjoying it.

I'm trying so hard to keep my expectations of an FFVII remake low, but it really does seem like we're being teased. It's going to be almost impossible for Saturday not to be a disappointment at this point.

Glad Sony is actually trying to cultivate a legacy with their older stuff. For the longest time they only seemed to look to the present and future.

I think these adverts signify whats wrong with the PS4 to me. Its all so damn.....safe.

I miss the crazy days.

Unfortunately, people want more safe ads these days. Remember all the ruckus about the PS3 baby ad? I don't think the awesome ads of old would go well with the public of today.

Yeah. A common insult towards popular culture nowadays is "thats so 90's" "so edgy"

Fuck me. I fucking loved how edgy things were in the 90's. I loved the rawness, the "I really don't give a fuck" attitude to everything.

Ill never be part of the "like comment and subscribe" crowd.

Things were alot better when people not only didnt care if they offended but many times actively worked at trying to piss people off.
