2014 Microsoft E3 Conference

Really boring conference. I'll give it a C+ because they had a Platinum game, even though the trailer wasn't very exciting.

So ntkrnl really did spoil everything, eh? At least it didn't have that 3rd party huge exclusive that Gamespot said (and if that was Kamiya's game, I'll laugh). The overall conference was good, Halo collection will probably make me buy a X1 next year.

I thought it was a great conference. Forza, DR3 DLC, Halo 1-4, and Crackdown 3 just convinced me that I need to buy an XBone ASAP.

Witcher 3 and The Division looked great too, but I'll get those for PS4.

Hmm.

Not really enthralled.

Though I'm sure Sony's will be worse.

Yup. I expect a lot of sales talk. They pull that shit every year even when the sales aren't that great. This year is going to be brutal. We'll see what happens but I can already see MS being on top here. Saw a few reasons to want a One.

A solid conference, if a little lacking in content. Spencer was great and it was obvious that they had worked a lot on their messaging this year.

Overall it was a good conference.

They have cool exclusives and the whole Halo collection will keep fans happy this season. The Platinium game seems to have a cool concept but it's all CG of course so we don't know much.

But, on the other hand, there were no megatons. The big third party exclusive didn't show up and there was a lot of timed DLC instead.

As a non-Xbox owner that's good to me but of course for them it would've been a stronger conference with those things.

Still, some really cool games shown so it's good. EA is next let's see what they have to show.

7/10 for me. Pacing was good and the focus on games was nice but there was no really big surprises besides Phantom Dust though thats partly due to the leaks. Too many CG trailers too. Sunset Overdrive looks great.

No xbox 1, but MS showed off some kick ass shit!

All the pre-E3 hype led me to believe MS was going to kill Sony... honestly with the conclusion of the show, I've come away feeling that this was a very lackluster event, most everything shown was known, or assumed correctly beforehand. I think having such a blowout at E3 last year has hampered them this year.

Kinect is toast. Harmonix has been left to die.

My pet peeve this year is going to be studio suits standing on stage holding a controller as if they're playing the game they're demoing when they're clearly not.
At least send some random dude out there while you talk so I can maintain some plausible deniability that you're showcasing gameplay and not some staged setpiece.

Better MS conference in years.

The dominant feeling is that they are still in the "me too", reactive stance, but i think that they are going in the right direction finally.

Overall solid show.

ill give it a 7/10 they did what they said games games game showever most the game i wanted from the conference were games i can play on my ps4 with possibly a better resolution or frame rate. Also to many CGI trailers.

Pretty decent conference overall, not too much for me, but they focused entirely on games and gave me some interest in buying an XB1

6/10.

Only actually interested in Sunset Overdrive and Oni. Nothing else picked my interest exclusively wise; from multiplatform, really excited for Assassins Creed Unity, Evolve and Lara Croft 2.

I really hope Sunset delivers and i can justify buying and Xbox One.

Sunset overdrive seems the best to come on Xbox one. Different from everything else and good looking.

The division looks graphically insane.

The worst have been the Japanese games no show except platinum.

If sony does a great show, MS will have a difficult year ahead.

Very good conference. 8/10. If they had just announced something like Lost Odyssey 2 then that might have sold me on XOne.

XO has a pretty awesome fall lineup.

Very disappointing conference.

High points were the Halo collection and Crackdown, but if anything the trailer convinced me that Crackdown is a long way off.

A good showing, as Spencer said it would be about games and it really was.

The problem I had with it was we knew about what had to be like 90% of the titles there beforehand due to leaks and announcements, I can't think of anything that really surprised me from the showing. The games that would make me go buy an Xbox One are seemingly next year titles, that being Halo 5 and Crackdown, nothing that makes me want to run to the shop and get one this holiday.

Would give it a B, a good showing but no real surprises, the most exciting titles for me aren't out this year or are multi-platform.

Too many CG trailers, not enough gameplay trailers. Nice to know the game exist, but I would like to see it play. 3/5 from me.

I'm sure plenty of people enjoyed that conference but it was terrible for me.

If i already had an xbox one I'd be looking forward to Forza Horizon 2, Ori and the Blind Forest and maybe Sunset Overdrive & Halo collection.

absolutely nothing for me to actually go buy an Xbox one yet.

Yeah that was a solid conference. Well presented and games games games. Not too many new games though.

Scaleback was the most interesting announcement. Nothing making me jump out of my chair and buy a bone though.

Good stuff though hope Sony lives up to it.

Nothing really there that convinces me to get an XBone, but it was a solid conference. Nice to see the focus on games instead of "TV TV TV SPORTS SPORTS TV"

Overall it made me excited to play some more Xbox One over the next couple years. The Conker tease was boooo... but I thought Sunset Overdrive looked great

Looks like another building\rebuilding year for MS. Much better direction than last year, they basically took the same tone as Sony, games games, indies, games. Seems like they had some solid titles for Xbox fans.

I am really surprised to see that they 100% dropped, "power of the cloud" and replaced it with what it actually is, "dedicated servers" and I don't think they said the word Kinect once. What a difference a year makes.

No Kinect on that last shot of the console spoke volumes.

MS did exactly what they needed to do. Focused on games. Not feeling their first party titles though.

Underwhelming? Average? 5/10?

Wow, thought it was pretty good... There wasn't any like "mic-drop" moment, but it was a steady stream of what I thought were interesting games.

Guess I'm crazy or something.
