I will be using all of my subs as needed. I actually am pretty underwhelmed by my benched strikers so I hope I don't need to swap out these two.
 
is the only purpose of picking a captain that your points are doubled if he scores? that pretty much means you should always pick a forward or ramos.

Double any points he gets. Defenders and midfielders for instance get points for >80% pass completion to compensate.
 
Joined! I'm very surprised the cheapest Aussie players are all 2.5 and above. Most people's team are probably full of players from Honduras and Iran. :lol

I've also got Vidal on the bench to replace Fayzulin when he's fit again. The only other notable players I have on the bench are Nagatomo, Aboubakar and Jakanbakhsh.

I'm surprised I haven't seen more people picking Karnezis - he only costs 2, and he will start for a team which is known for grinding out 0-0 draws and 1-0 wins.

Well i seriouslly doubt it. They are in a group with crying out loud Honduras, Ecuador and Switzerland. The only thing I can see happen is a draw against Switzerland instead of a win. Honduras and Ecuador don't stand a chance against France. And after the group stage I can always pick somebody else again if Pogba did dissapoint which he won't :)

I am not to be honest. It would be a bit like playing Russian Roulette...
Colombia have Cuadrado, Jackson Martinez, James Rodriguez and Ivory Coast has Yaya Toure, Bony, Drogba and Traore not to mention Japan has killers like Honda and Kagawa. I highly doubt Greece will hold any cleansheet during any of the 3 matches...
 
How do you actually join the NeoGAF league in fantasy? Do they cut it off after the Cup starts? I thought I had joined it before but apparently I did not and now I can't seem to do so.

Edit: Nm, I guess I'm in it and that's why I can't seem to join it. When I go to "My Leagues", I don't actually see it listed though.. very weird.

hey, i too have pogba on my team. we will go down with this ship together.

but speaking of group strengths, i done goofed picking ronaldo over messi, or even suarez. surely not even messi can mess up the group he has, while portugal has nothing but tough(ish) matches.

Same here. Guess the site needs to do an update.

I was on the fence with Pogba and eventually settled on Cabaye and Matuidi who have more scoring potential in the national squad. France gonna breeze through that group I think, especially without the massive egos of Ribery and Nasri.

Betting on Colombia's defense to hold in their group. Come on, Colombia!
 
The entire site sucks. It was so much better 4 years ago. Now, I can't see what leagues I'm in ir the leaderboard be updated after each day. They shouldn't go backwards after 4 years.

The site is quite wonky but I think I did alright! Neymar got me 28 points alone!

Marcelo own goal -2 pts >.<

I also predicted the final score correctly so that means I am in first place bitchesss (along with 23 others)

Last minute goal at least got me the extra point for correct margin. Slipped by putting a draw in for spain v holland.
