Sorry Spaz.

I think that first shot looks god damned incredible.

Some of the later ones are a bit too contrasty, but that first one is stellar.

I can show you some SweetFX and ENB presets that also look awful. It's all in how you use it.

I'd kill for it to be more compatible with GeDoSaTo so I could properly use it in DmC. The bloom shader is friggin great.

Kinda surprised at the lack of Dying Light pictures.

The chromatic aberration is rank. If they add a toggle for it, I'd be interested in taking screenshots. But I don't feel like posting any and having people complain about it. Hell, I'd complain about it (I did for Lords of the Fallen until we got a toggle).

I like it. It gives some new flavor to an otherwise screenshotted game. Any excuse I can use to replay Tomb Raider or Remember Me! Either way, I like the effect of the contrast and bloom with the noise and subtle CA. If I wanted to take more shots of the completely sharp, perfectly AA'd vanilla game, then it would most likely end up with me being bored.

You aren't the only one. I've only seen a few that I generally think look good and appealing to me. (Such as the Jedi Outcast pictures someone posted. And the Crysis ones for shits'n'giggles) Generally it makes everything look more generic and takes away from the intended look. Besides most games these days already have a metric fuck ton of post processing. Seems like overkill. At most, personally games usually only need a slight black level adjustment.

I feel the same way about stuff like ENB and Skyrim.

But people are free to post'em, I have no qualms with that. People are free to post whatever they want .

I'm also glad there aren't any Dying Light shots, just because how fucking awful the obscene CA makes the game look.

Just me though.

Normally I don't like CA at all but I think the CA works wonders on this shot. Helps make it more surreal. Just as your death scene should be when being viewed in 3rd person!

That CA would grate on me after a while. Maybe it's to promote the feeling of parkouring around with a handycam taped to your eyeballs, the heavy grain seems to suggest that as well. Although, in that comparison, I'm a bit more surprised by the difference between those medium and high textures!

It's all about the settings and you can tweak it to look anyway you want. I think there are amazing shots here taken while using ReShade. You should try it yourself and get into tweaking it the way you like and maybe you'll change your mind :)

Here's a couple of Sci-Fi movie inspired ReShade shots.

Looking at this thread on my TV while laying in bed sort of makes you realize how much games seem to be designed to be played on a big screen from afar, rather than super up close to a monitor.

There is stuff that looks incredible on the TV that is super average on the monitor.

Best example of this I think is Rage, looks amazing on a TV but up close on a monitor you see how blurry the textures really are.

Still, I much prefer to be close to the screen because it's way more immersive. (I know immersive is a cheesy word but I don't know how else to describe it)
Having a whole room between you and the screen kinda detatches you from the game, atleast for me.

Not related to the images. I see some subtle downgrades since the 4th patch while doing some comparisons, as well as unique objects replaced so they're all the same. Ubisoft called it refurbishment.

Bassically a testshot of my new setup ( Skyrim Revisited ) and god almighty do i love it .

Vividian enb is one of the few enb's around who doesn't crank every setting up to elelven but instead keeps that original Vannilla skyrim look .

Also about 160 mods working in perfect harmony is also quite nice .
