Those look pretty awesome man! good job with the shader tweaks.

More games should have a photo mode where you can tweak all sort of settings and post process effects. At least on PC there is always that choice for the most part.

That's the downside to removing the CA from this game. You lose a lot of the game's moody tonemapping which is unfortunately tied to that shader, and the end result looks kinda bland. You see it immediately in the main menu screen... it looks a lot less interesting. That's one of the ways I know the CA is gone.... =\

I'd imagine someone could use something like Reshade to mimic the original tonemapping.

But now this is getting pretty damn ridiculous.

Sorry for the low res shots.

Removing the CA has that big of an effect.

The game applies different tonemapping to different times of days, weathers, etc. It's not something you can easily redo in ReShade

I actually like it better without the tonemapping, but I can see how it would change the atmosphere of the game, and not necessarily for the better.

Link doesn't fuck around

Spoiler I guess

He really tries to kill Ganondorf. sword impaling head.

Sry, somewhat lowres for this thread, but a beautiful game. (Although the sailing outlives it welcome).

Edit: just found out, can't spoiler images!? Guess game is old enough for spoilers.

tell me how you really feel

Hah, nah it's troof.

I think it looks good aside from the obviously aged character models.

Yeah, I personally really like the tonemapping. It's just that god damned CA.. come'on devs.

What are you using in these shots? I'm playing FNV right now and I could use some advice to make it look better :/
Is that some sweetfx profile?
I'm guessing s/he's got some high-res texture mods too. Heh, on my playthrough I tried installing one of those using only the "low" end package offered, and it still brought my framerate to its knees (vanilla game runs buttery smooth). xD Didn't think my PC was that old, how little did I know...

c/p from a pm:
to generate the lighting/general look i use onix ENB (tweaked heavily), URWLNV TTW edition (found on moddb), and vurt's flora overhaul.
for textures i use wasteland clothing hires by macintroll (for the jacket texture/general hi-rez textures for clothing), and NMC and ojo bueno texture packs
the shotgun is the mossberg 590 from mt tindle and the armor is the NVBS armor from the desert scorpion armor pack

edit: slightly oldie and definitely oldie shots

All the Scholar of the First Sin talk has got me playing around with DSII again. Messing about with that pre-release super dramatic lighting look

To get something closer to the release look you might want to mess around with ENB as well.

I definitely agree with that but some games like Far Cry 3 or Bioshock Infinite have an unique art style.

To someone who hasn't played either they might confuse Far Cry 3 and 4. It's usually better to label than to not.
