This game really has me amazed at what the WiiU can really do, yes it has cut some corners but damn when you see it, it seems all worth while, will certainly look to pick it up once I've sorted out my PS4 backlog.

There are compromises to make it work, just like any other game, but I've had more "holy shit" moments just running around in the world than just about any other game I can think of.

Last night I finally started really exploring Sylvalum. At one point, the fog became so thick I could only see a few meters ahead of me. When I looked up I could see faint rays of light illuminating the silhouettes of massive alien creatures towering over me. I came across a natural bridge, spiraling upwards toward a distant plateau. As I climbed it the fog suddenly lifted, revealing shining purple skies and blue-gray plains and lakes below.

Monoliths' environment artists are god-tier.
