Drifting feels kinda fake in NfS (it's like you suddenly switch to a different handling model and travelling with an auto pilot ;)), but at least it's enjoyable and I don't have to skip drift events like in most other racing games. ;)

No offence, but this game looks atrocious in these shots. Does it always look like this?

Check my previous shots... it has its good and bad moments. I think they did a good job given the size of the world and how much variety it has to offer (it's not filled with 100 exactly the same looking towns or villages).

It has segments where the sun hits the horizon. The time of day is tied to your location on the map.

I noticed that, but I had no idea it was related to the player's position. Interesting. :)

Man, NFS looks awesome. I'd love to experience it, but I refuse to give money to EA for it until they remove that unnecessary online requirement that brings no benefits whatsoever - if that means never, so be it.

Worth noting that Photomode was added via the great support updates the game has had since launch and it runs in realtime since you can't pause. The game straight up looks like photoreal CGI if you play from the hood cam camera.

Wow very nice. Any specific settings you use in Photo Mode to do that?
Nope. No filters or tweaks. Just crop the pics into the framing I like (21:9 essentially). I think one or two of the pics have the Photo Mode's film grain switched on, but it's quite subtle since the game is so rainy.

Because the final image is rendered at 1080p and the resolution is upscaled from 900p.

Yes, all 900p games have 1080p screenshots here. It's just that those shots are a bit blurrier than the native 1080p games.

+ I thought The Witcher 3 had a dynamic resolution on Xbox One, between 900p and 1080p, no ?

That's what they claimed in marketing, but upon tests: All gameplay in W3 on Xbox One is 900p. Only the in game menus are native 1080p.

lol, the joke.
But I have seen some great shots of TW3 on Xbox One here, so the 900p is not really a big deal for this game.
