Yeah, Gears 4 graphics are so impressive in motion because everything is moving.
Every leaf (the foliage is so impressive) is moving, and the wind effects are insane.
Thats it! The world feels so alive due to the foliage movement all the details. It was the same deal with Uncharted 4. When playing the game my jaw was literally on the floor (especially the jungle/island levels) and while photos still looked great, they were not telling even half the story.
In Gears the weather effects , the destructibility all the chaos... no picture can capture these scenes well. Its like you said it, the world feels alive you pan the camera around and all those details come to life.
Stunning work from developers and mad respect!

I can only speak for Gears 4, but I get your point. There's a big difference between seeing it in movement and taking stills. I'll be playing Uncharted 4 soon too, so I'll see the difference there too probably.

I really enjoyed the time I spend on Beyond. I would've bought and played it again with the remaster if they removed the black bars from the original.
At least Detroit: Become Human looks to be a fullscreen experience. So I'm looking forward to that.

I hope you guys are ready for a flood of Red Dead Redemption screens, because after the announcement today, I spent two hours roaming this beautiful world.
Ahhh yes, Manzanita. Where you get attacked by a bear on all sides while 4 other bears wait to attack you after that. Good times!
Yeah initially the black bars bothered me too but after a while I forgot about them. I wonder if their sole purpose was meant to emulate a more cinematic product or if they were also in response to limitations with previous generation hardware and reducing the amount of renderable on-screen content.
I'm very much looking forward to Detroit and especially more so now that I've played Heavy Rain and started Beyond Two Souls.
