I still can't see Scorpio being unveiled today. It's rumored to be a holiday 2017 launch, so it wouldn't really make any sense unless either

• It's a next-gen console instead of an upgrade,
• It's actually launching this year or early next,
• MS somehow doesn't care about Xbone sales anymore, or
• It's going to be expensive as hell.

Otherwise it's just a bad business decision to announce it now.

Scorpio doesn't mean casuals won't buy it so I don't get why people always say this. Announcing Xbox One didn't mean people stopped buying 360's. They probably expect a slow down in sales though and if they do I'd expect it to launch either this holiday or next spring. I can't see them announcing now and not releasing until next Christmas. If they do that the hardware should be better than what we are anticipating.
