Horizon 0 Dawn is ridiculous really... so good looking that I dont know if its existence is good or bad really...

I mean I am spoiled as fuck now, I look at other, objectively great looking games and they feel average... I remember being quite impressed with FFXV open world graphics and now I look at it and I am like... "meh, suppose its ok...i guess..."

I do agree, even games like UC4, or TW3 has badly aged all of a sudden...
HZD has raised new standard for graphics. Very difficult to take bad shots of the game, it has no bad day in this area. Everything is highlevel...

I would post some but i play on regular PS4 and i choose to play in the Action 60fps mode instead of the 1080p movie mode, it doesn't look bad in motion just in still screenshots can look rough also prefer taking .jpg screenshots so not the best

Why JPG? PNGs are better. In action shots look better with PNG since JPG can sometimes ruin them.

Yeah i know but the difference isn't that staggering but still noticeable and im lazy the file sizes are much smaller quicker to transfer to usb and quicker to upload with my slow internet, also i guess makes these pages load bit faster since less bandwidth to load while the rest use png eh ill do png's randomly i do have a few here already

This game has some seriously impressive facial animations and character models for npc. I was about to post a pic of this dude, he's the one from the side quest where his wife is scared and isn't sure if this dude is alive or not right?

Can't agree on UC4. It still looks gorgeous to me...it's just much smaller in scope, but I went back to The Witcher 3 the other day and it all of a sudden really looked outdated to me. And I always thought it was such a gorgeous looking game before. It now feels low resolution, with poor LOD, terrible gras and some really poor texturing in the wilderness. I wished they would just Pro patch it.

Yes it is him ^^ I agree for the modeling of the characters in an open world .. for the facial animations there is still work to be truly at the top

Yeah, especially on the facial fidelity, subsurface scattering is heavily lacking in UC4, a random NPC has a better face than Nathan in UC4.

UC4 still doesn't age bad compared to it, I mean, yeah, HZD may look better and have things that UC4 doesn't, but UC4 is still one of the best looking games on the system.

He could have aged and still being one of the best looking games on the system. The former doesn't prevent the latter.
