2017 FIFA Confederations Cup | OT | 17 June – 2 July 2017 | Putin on a show

I'm glad we won but I'm sick of Osorio giving away forty-five minutes every time. New Zealand, no offense, should not force Mexico to look at the clock at the end of the match. Rotations are good when you have a long tournament, but in this type of competitions the margin of error is too small to be experimenting.

Speaking of Osorio, why was he so mad? He kept throwing insults at the kiwi coaching staff.

Because he complained that NZ didn't kick the ball out when there were Mexican players on the floor. Which is a bullshit reason since Mexico had the ball first and didn't kick it out.

This was game was a closterfuck. Gio needs to go. The dude was just walking. Also Osorio needs to stop the rotation shit.

Shame on winning like this, and I'm Mexican..

Terrible line up...no words

Disagree on the first part. If we got a third goal after that fight then I would agree with you.

But this lineup was awful. Defense was shit and no midfielders at the start.

As I said in an previous post, the intention with the VAR is great, but the implementation is a fucking joke.

The worst part is the more they fuck things up, the more people become against it, which means likely we'll go back to a place where no VAR exists and the big teams will be able -again- to cheat with no consequences at all for them.

We speak ill of Osorio's ways but fact of the matter is he's delivering results and the numbers don't lie. Top of the Qualifying Hex one step from getting into the WC. 4 points in this Cup with a great tie vs the Euro champs. We may not like his ways but he's getting those points.

The VAR is a mess. Has nobody watched Rugby or hell, football on TV, you should be able to get it sorted in no time.

Maybe they need a captain's call, three per game.

Not to forget, Mexico will basically have three more days of rest compared to Russia. They are forced to win to justify today's performance.

So Talavera saved us a lot in this game.

Gotta admit that. He still a little iffy when pressured, but he played great when called upon.

Damn, Osorio was really mad. What set him off?

Also, I couldn't watch the match. Did we stop making the embarrassing chant or not?

Yes we did but I dont see it stopping the next game we have at Azteca. The people who go to these tournaments halfway around the globe sadly isnt the same that goes to games in Mexico City.

What the fuck happened here??? You're still 0-0 and you earn millions of dollars how can you afford to loose your temper like this!? Who was he yelling to?

I think it was 'cause a mexican player was seriously injured (he injured his shoulder?) and the NZ team didn't take the ball out?

True. It's a good thing they behave there, but we will surely fail to behave on the Azteca :/

He doesn't earn "millions of dollars" lol. It was during the time Salcedo dislocated his shoulder and stood in the ground while NZ striker took a shot on goal. He was mad as hell since then.

Im pretty sure he does. Mexican National Team coach is a very very well paid job. They also earn a lot from sponsors, tv ads, bonuses, etc.

He earns 1.2 million dollars per year according to some sources. He's still one of the Mexico's DT that earn the least in a decade it seems.

Aboubakar has missed at least five clear chances

There is a reason Porto just sort of let him go (even though they needed and still need strikers). That said, he isn't awful. He just needs too many chances to score at a high level competition IMO. If he could improve his finishing he'd be a great striker.

Cmon Germany, need you to thrash Chile for us

?

Chile beats Germany
Cameroon beats Germany
Australia beats Chile

And you would only need a better goal difference.

You have to ask yourself: Who has a better chance. Australia against Chile? Or Cameroon against Germany?

Vamos Chile, mierdaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!

We brought that weird team, and now Löw also decided to play without a striker.
That team looks like he is playing for a draw. Awful

I really hope that's not true. Yesterday, in a chilean newspaper covering this cup, Löw said Germany was going to attack from the very first minute. That would end in a extremely interesting match.

I'm tired of teams parking the bus against us, yeah I know... it's a valid tactic, but damn... it makes the game boring as hell.

Germany won the world cup without a striker.

And B-team Germany is still better than every team in this tournament except maybe Portugal and this also just because they are well attuned to each other.

Germany had Klose and Müller, who is still a striker, even if not a lone center one.

Now look at the team from today.
ter Stegen,Süle ,Mustafi ,Ginter ,Kimmich, Can, Rudy , Hector, Goretzka , Draxler, Stindl.

There is not even a half striker here.

Why are Wagner and especially Werner who was really class this season on the bench?

And you really underestimate Chile, they are a great team, and have been for quite some time.

Don't get me wrong we just have a stupid defensive line up from the players. We still won't park the bus.
