A tip if you want to get rid of the crosshair when taking screenshots, open the console and type this:

bind F1 g_showhud 0
bind F2 g_showhud 1

Then you can just turn it on and off with F1 and F2

Disabling the HUD trough the menu doesn't get rid of the crosshair, the comand removes everything on screen. The F1-F12 keys were just examples, you can choose any keys you want of course.

Had high hopes for this one...somehow they made it looking worse than first game.

Don't agree at all. Lighting and overall quality is superior to the first game. While it has insanely good looking moments the first game is rather ugly in a lot of areas. Part 2 suffers from generic looks instead.
