I've never seen so many people get so annoyed at a joke before.
Yeah, it was merely a lame joke.
Ignore it.

Lol. This always happen in a rap thread.Ignore it and it will solve itself!

Starting to get a little suspicious about T.I.'s concerts. He was here in Cincinnati once and the same thing happened. Either someone is following him trying to start shit, or this shit is set up.

Well I probably have honestly. But still.
An observation many have made in GAF threads related to hip hop artists and hip hop news is for a handful of posters to ask "who" the person is or reference another celebrity/person with the same name, despite the OP usually having enough information and context clues to figure out who the person is, in addition to most of us having search engines either built into our phones or just a right click away. Since these types of questions or jokes are rarely seen in threads involving other forms of entertainment, these comments and jokes start to stick out after a while.
The crazy world of the so-called rap artists who are basically thugs that are basically celebrating the violence that theyve lived all their lives unfortunately, that violence oftentimes manifests itself during their performances, and thats exactly what happened last evening
This world has not reformed. Its unfortunate, the backgrounds that a lot of these young people that are significant artists in that world, if you will they continue hanging out with the same people they hung out with when they came out of that world of desperation, poverty, and crime
The music unfortunately oftentimes celebrates violence, celebrates degradation of women, celebrates the drug culture. And its unfortunate that, as they get fame and fortune, that some of them are just not able to get out of the life, if you will.
Is that really what he said? What? "So called rap artists".The police commisioner went for the most borderline stereotypical old white guy reason when asked why the shooting happened.

To me it seems like Troy Ave was the target. Just happened to be at a T.I. concert. Troy was on XM a couple of months ago talking wreckless about how he still does dirt along with rapping and he ain't scared of anyone. He was basically daring anyone to come at him. Not saying it was related, but it seemed that he was in no hurry to live the "good life".
Hey OP, if they don't know who to is I doubt a reference to blurred lines would help. You have to hit with something familiar like the black guy in antman.
Adding a little more to the OP's story, three of the people shot were rapper Troy Ave, Troy Ave's girlfriend, and member of his crew Big Bizz (who died).

The NYPD's top cop called rap artists "basically thugs" a day after a shooting at a hip-hop concert left one person dead and three others injured.
In an interview Thursday with WCBS radio, Police Commissioner Bill Bratton cited "the crazy world of these so-called rap artists who are basically thugs that basically celebrate violence they did all their lives."
He added, "Unfortunately, that violence often times manifests itself during their performances."
I doubt this had anything to do with TI.
I know - used one a lot in college, but how is it relevant to this thread?
You and I both know, Texas Instrument wouldn't be doing a show. If you didn't know who TI was, a 3 second google search would show it.
He wasn't wrong though. The target was still about that life. The police commisioner went for the most borderline stereotypical old white guy reason when asked why the shooting happened.
Troy Average is fucking jackass. From slandering Kendrick and others as weirdo rappera, to his Major without a Deal album flopping something serious, to laughing at people's dead family members, to talking down on Joey Bada$$' friend who committed suicide, and now this clusterfuck in which he allegedly shot his friend. I say this respectfully, fuck Troy Average.
Other than the nonsense I kind of liked his music anyways its a wrap for him....
I have a feeling there more to it maybe multiple shooters.
he's wack anyways, no one will miss he music.
Looks like troy ave being charge here vid of him shooting

I fucked with it tbh
I love to support follow Brooklynites in the game specially these days, but I gotta be real, he mediocre as fuck
So he shot his own bodyguard/friend, his girlfriend, and himself?
Self defense doesn't matter. We're not allowed to have guns in NYC, practically.
I don't think he can get self defense because he walked out of the room after who ever had started shooting first had already started to flee the scene. That's attempted murder at that point.could lower it from murder, though.
Looking closely at rhe footage I think he was already shot.Reads like he shot himself and his own body guard. Jesus.
Lol Xscape... Old school right there!I would go even more obscure like saying "the dude who married the weird looking one from Xscape."
Hip-hop personality Taxstone was arrested Monday in connection with last Mays fatal shooting at a T.I. concert in Irving Plaza after cops say they found his DNA on the murder weapon.
The shooting in the third-floor green room at the East Village concert venue left three people wounded, including rapper Troy Ave, who was publicly feuding with Taxstone. Troy Aves bodyguard Ronald McPhatter was killed.
Taxstone, 31, whose real name is Daryl Campbell, now faces federal weapon possession charges.
He is slated to appear in federal court Tuesday.
Popular podcaster Taxstone was locked up over this
