I'm having difficulty finding out, but I do believe it can display DVD videos in 480P.

Edit: Macworld's May writeup shows that the 360 can support progressive playback.

Good news for home entertainment buffs that double up their video game system as the home DVD player too: Xbox 360 works out of the box as a DVD player; you don’t have to buy any extra hardware to get it to work like you do with the current model. Progressive scan is now supported for smoother and sharper DVD playback.

If you have a 4:3 display you're going to have to deal with letterboxing.

Only if its set to widescreen in the dash, at which point you will have to manually adjust the monitor to suit.

Well the reason i ask is cause NO ONE REALLY KNOWS. And its pissing me off. I questioned it early and no one said anything.

I still have those questions cause no one really know shit.

Yeah i know its a progressive DVD player. But i've heard that it doesnt display through the VGA cable. Hence my asking.
