So in my previous post I asked how to become a non-weaksauce 3d fighting game player. Well today I ventured out to a Namco game center in Yokohama and got owned hard. I didn't win a simgle match :-( In fact I lost to a guy who had like 400 some odd losses piled up.

Anyways I have decided to actually learn how to play. I have already ordered Tekken 5. I guess I'll start from there and eventually move into Virtua Fighter.

Anyways I'm gonna practice at home a bit and I don't really like the PS2 digital pad for fighting games so I'm gonna order a stick. But I'm wondering which one is the best to buy...

Let me explain my setup. Basically my game setup is in my tatami room. I've got a TV in there and a small raised sofa. I either play from the sofa when the room is too cold to lay on the floor or sit on the floor and play in front of the TV. I don't have a coffee table or anything to sit the stick on so it'd either be on my lap or on the floor in front of me. Anyways I guess my options are:

1.Sega Saturn Virtua Stick
2 Neo Geo Fighter Stick
Are 3-5 the same? They look the same...
3 Street Anniversary Stick by Hori
4 Tekken 5 stick bo Hori
5 FIghting Jam stick by Hori
6 Hori Fighting Stick (different from 3-5)
7. SNK vs Capcom Fighting STick

Those are the ones I have acccess to. Which one is the best, or I should consider some other stick, or even pad?

The Hori Real Arcade Pro is the best off-the-shelf option, and by a huge margin too because of the Sanwa JLF stick. You do have to import it, does that keep it off your list?

What SF:AC stick are you talking about? Nuby made one, but I've not seen one by Hori.

Turn a laundry basket over and put the stick on that. I really can't do much lap-sticking anymore, my accuracy can go to shit.

ddkawaii: when are you and BlackAce free? We can play some T5 for a bit. It does you no good to play against people who are 100 times better than you. Playing someone who's better, but not GODLY is what you need. Trust me

We actually played a bit today. I dont have you contact info anymore so couldn't contact you.

I actually plan to play at home and everyday if I have time during my lunch break at the Club Sega downstairs.
Lets exchange info and meet up and play. If we do the arcade thing, we need to find a place not so crowded and hopefully with more than 1 T5 machine so we can play each other.

btw- the guys I played were kinda sucky. I am just the ultimate in sucky!
