3D Realms is hiring!

You are getting crazier by the day Borys

It's the E3's fault.
So many things will happen that my head will surely explode.
...
Not showing anything about DNF at this years E3 would make 3DRealms a joke company, they should change their name to 3DDreams after that.

Really, I know I will lost all my faith then.

A part of me wishes this would turn up at E3 or at least make it to retail, only to be an uber awesome game, a bigger hit than the original DN3D back in '95, just to show up all the haters and cause people to respect 3D Realms again for all time...

But the sane part of me knows I'll be disappointed holding onto such a misguided hope.

But regardless, even if it happens, it'll be a small sideshow compared to the next gen console unveilings...

If that included money made on selling the Max Payne IP, then there's nothing to complain about. If not.... bwahahahaha!

no duke at this year's e3 according to people close with the dev team.

don't want to take focus off "prey" which is going to blow people away.

"prey" expected to ship by thanksgiving this year.

duke nukem forever widely believed to be shown this august with a six month build up to it's january 2006 release to celebrate the 10th anniversary of duke 3d.

george said the hiring is because they've been ramping things up alot and want to finish up quickly.

the game is a reality folks, we will play duke nukem forever...the question is when?

we shall see.

This would be an ideal job. The only place I would choose over this job would be anything at Rare.

Yeah, because you really have very little pressure to actually deliver anything right?

Oh wait

Who funds the money that 3DRealms bleeds out the ass every year?
They sold the IP for Max Payne a few years back, which gave them an infusion of cash. They also have lower than average operating costs because they don't pay their employees much (it's all promises of royalties).

They have also made money over the years licensing out the DN IP.

That's gonna have to dry up eventually though IMO.
