3DS Streetpass Experiences

But I made a lot of progress on the puzzle front, almost up to speed with all the pink pieces... again. And I met a dude with 999,999 troops, insane dude.
I'm nearly done with my third play through and have reached that. Pretty sure I started the play through with about 2 million as well...

I also finally got 300 groups joined ticket so now that is missing are the 300 monarchs ones (I get at most 3 monarchs in a queue of 10) and "get your first critical strike"...I have a feeling I'm beyond a point where that one is possible.

Pokemon is a good game for seeing how many tags you missed (as it has a queue limit of 99). Shame its streetpass is useless for anything else though.

Finally completed Arcade mode on Mii Force, it was complicated by the fact most people seem to wear red but that's the worst gun. I think I'm only missing one thing nwo, and that's 'Get a second plaza ticket from a gold chest'. I've been putting down only one colour but is there any way of helping this one along? After it's done I'm finished with all of the games.

But they have the advantage of keeping data until someone can make use of it. So your New Leaf village will eventually go to someone who also owns the game.

Just a matter of whether they still play it.

Nope, game-specific data too.

But I'm pretty sure they only store 1 per game, per relay, not 6 like for Plaza.
That's weird. I've been getting 12 streetpasses a day, consistently, for a couple of weeks now. No Animal Crossing passes. :/

How does the game data transfer work? I haven't played SMT IV in a while; will I still get passes for that? How will I know? I am playing FE now and the little green circle pops up when I get a pass. But since I have a physical copy of SMT IV there is no notification, is there?

Just make sure you are creating the largest rooms possible without making smaller rooms on the way. Make a one thickness outline that a five-piece can fit inside on a floor you've already cleared and just wait for that shape piece to come in, and keep a can of magic paint on hand if you need it. My largest rooms were shaped like this before getting the final piece to complete the room in the middle:

Code:
. O O O .
O O . O O
O . . . O
O O . O O
. O O O .

I have physical copies of a few games with streepass features. You neither need to have the game inserted to get streetpass tags nor do you need the game to be inserted to see notifications. There is a dedicated notifications page on the top of the 3DS home screen.

I haven't played SMT IV specifically though. Three possibilities:

1) The option is not turned on in the game (or within your system options). Have you ever gotten a streetpass tag for it?

2) Your streetpass que for that specific game might be full. I stopped playing Animal Crossing a while ago so my que has been stuck at 30/30 since that time. The title has sunk down in my notifications page over time as I have continued to use streetpass with other titles.

3) It could just be an indication of the game's popularity. Out of a couple thousand streetpasses I have only gotten a dozen or so tags for Concentration Training and I have never gotten one for Soul Hackers.

I did one of those a few days ago.

7 or 8 gold chests. So good.

So reading ColonelSkill's impressions, I wanted to get other people's thoughts, which of the four dlc games is worth it?

Warrior's Way is the less worth it, but in the "pay 3 get 4" it is a cool game to have for more tickets.

Mii Force is a very interesting arcade style airship shoot em up with lots of deph and fun arcade gameplay. It is by far the one where skills matter most and my favorite to spend coins in.

The Flower one is Animal Crossing levels of crack addiction and depth. The main Mii is a little boring, but the game is so vast on what you can do for a flower game that it is awesome.

Monster Manor is a mix of tetris and active turn based battles.
Very interesting and huge, specialy if you are a "omfg must make huge floors with the same colors" type of person. Slightly on the easy side (at least on the first 10 floors ...i am a VERY slow person xD) but has by far the best mii npc after Nikki

Mii Force - a nice little shoot em up. seems easy to get plaza tickets or maybe ive just been playing monster manor so long im past the early get plaza tickets a lot stage and i just dont remember it. If you street pass a lot it helps but you can buy with your coins people too.

Each persons color translates into a weapon like red people are fire and you have the option on the bottom screen where to put them. there are three different front slots and one in back. if you have two or three of the same color in the same slot it powers up that weapon. like two red people in the same slot back to back then its a level 2.
Actualy that is false.
You don't need to have of the same color, just any other pods behind it for a level 2 or 3

Oh my gosh, I never realized until that photo above that you could rotate the orientation of the guns in Mii Force...that sure would make some stages easier :P

Holy "How to fast travel in Link Bewteen world" !!!

How does you people miss these kinds of explanations ? =O

Thanks for the input everyone. I went ahead and got Flower Town. :) Might pick up the rock/paper/scissors one later but I don't like being frustrated and I doubt I'd ever find 20 people who also have the game.

I think I'm in a pretty bad place regarding the very end of Mansion. I have a nice selection of weapons, but I need to level them up and I have very few gems and not many spaces for pieces.

Does the final boss have an elemental weakness?

I honestly can't recall, and I just brute forced the fight anyway. My weapons miiiight be a bit broken, however.

It totally doesn't matter since you carry nothing but the weapon on your back into your next playthrough after clearing floor 50

I tried the final boss in mansion last night, and
randomly died :p I still had HP (although low), an attack move name never appeared on the screen, he never started an attack animation, and right before I was going to take him out with my very last attack, my character simply passes out. I wasn't poisoned or anything :p *boom* game over. Makes me wonder if I needed to unlock something before I am allowed to defeat him.

So if anyone has any hints, please let me know ;)

*edit* Nevermind, I figured it out. How silly of me.
The last boss casts a damage reflect spell and I was too busy paying attention to my charge, that basically I killed myself with the reflected damage. Blaarrgg.

Man, the Emperor in Warrior's Way is "the PC is a cheating bastard" kind of bullshit.
If you lose remember to quit the software before the loss of troops is saved so it doesn't happen. Next time you start game will tell you off (and if you try the same thing again you lose 10% of troops like you would) but if you do nothing there are no penalties.

Got 10 Street passes yesterday at my college which was quite the surprise. Spent a full hour playing all the games. Since I got a 3DS XL 2 weeks ago, I'm up to 37 I want to say. Bought all the Mii Plaza games in one shot. Favorite games are the Mansion one, the dungeon crawler, and the shooter game. The garden game is getting more interesting slowly. I street passed a Walter White Mii (Mr. White) who loves to cook which was funny.

Street passes are extremely addicting to the point where it's a Pavlovian effect whenever I see a green light. It's a brilliant concept and easily the best thing about the 3DS coming from a DS Lite.

Thank god I can go back to just raising flowers normally, this was ridiculous
what plant is that? i haven't gotten around to that job yet, still stuck on the spicy specimen job. does anyone know how to get the right flower for the spicy job?

i tend to throw my 3ds in my bag while around the college campus here, i tend to average 6-10 hits everyday. almost 100% finished with mii force, that fucking 3rd gem in 4-3 is one of the most annoying things to get.

So... When's it ok to challenge a 9,999,999 squad on Streetpass Battle, if using coins and spying isn't an issue? I'm on 3,000,000 and it's slowly getting tempting. 4,000,000?

I average about 5 StreetPass when I go to work and go home. People I have met are always there everyday which is nice :D

My problem now is the Dark Room on the RPG game. I haven't met a white dude since I bought my 2DS last month...

Anyway, I might buy the other mii games since I have a lot of passes.

You can always just hire the cats until you get a white one.

You could probably win with 3m if you're spying. Just depends on the breakdown of his troops.

That's a good point, thanks. I've been making small rooms without thinking about it.

~202k is the minimum to win if the have ~100k/~9.8mm/~100k split (they usually don't). But worst case is ~3.4mm/~3.3mm/~3.4mm which with spying you should be able to win with about 3.6 million (with a 1/49//50 split).

Thing is at the point there is little point winning 500k but losing spying chances (which in turn means you can't invade the next country) as the regular battles are giving you nearly that much. But I guess at that point getting to 300 battles is more important than completing lap 3 or 4...

Seriously. Why have I stopped receiving Animal Crossing streetpasses through relay points?
I believe the status of your home showcase in-game can affect your ability to get streetpass tags. As in, you can't get more tags if it is full.

I own Animal Crossing but I didn't get heavily into it so I can't answer from personal experience. This is just speculation that I had read.

I wondered this, and deleted a couple of houses the other day to see if it would kick-start passes again. Nothing so far. :/

My final suggestion is just to hard restart if you haven't done that recently.

I have had stretches of time where my Mii Plaza would not get hits even though other games would; googling this topic raised the issue that the 3DS might need to be restarted periodically. This is also pure speculation but this is a belief that exists online so you might as well try it.

I think i never even clicked on this thread...

But last night i was searching about the Streetpass relay.... do you people talk about that in here?

Turns out my router is one of the few without a working version of DD-wrt

Live in brasil, streetpass is incredible rare, one billion puzzles to fill, even gave up on Find Mii2 on a fire room... thats the reason

New Animal Crossing passes should just replace the old houses if your plaza is full.

Apart from the ones you designate as favourite.

Does it mean you'd better
sell everything / xp your main before meeting the final boss
?

The level of the gun you intend to bring over matters, yes, so do that. Selling things beyond what you need for upgrades doesn't really help you since your gems don't make the jump either.

Make sure you're doing this on the floor 50 boss, not the floor 30 boss. The game doesn't reset after floor 30, it's business as usual after that one.

Hey everyone. I went to a Nintendo Zone (confirmed because Nintendo Zone app worked), but didn't get any street passes. I thought the last 5-6 people who also passed by there would show up? What did I do wrong?

I would think everything except the taking over countries; though beating Monarchs is also questionable. In the end, it's a pretty easy ticket to get if you have a consistent source of Streetpasses.

just wondering if there's any reason to keep taking over countries once I've gotten the lvl 20, beat double, and critical strike tickets

A few tips:

-Sometimes they appear in ~30 seconds, sometimes it takes 5-10 minutes.

-Have you been to that location before? You can only get a given streetpass relay tag once. If I go to my local relay location two days in a row I will sometimes only get 1-2 tags the second time.

-It seems to help if no software is running and you are simply on the homescreen with the lid shut. In general I believe that you have to have the lid shut for relay to occur.

Beyond that I'll just say that street pass relay is kind of mysterious.

And there are definitely locations that work with Nintendo Zone that don't act as relays.

Thanks, so how would I know if the location I'm at is a relay?

There's no way to know any given location is not a relay. If it works, you know that's a good spot. If it doesn't, who knows. All you can do on your end is make sure the home screen says the spot you're standing in is a Nintendo Zone and your online status on the top left says Internet.

I streetpass my brother every day and he's on 9,999,999 while I'm on 3,000,000 so it's getting tempting. I'm on the last boss of the second playthrough, and I think the army size was around 6 million so I'm avoiding him for now anyway. Looks like I'll challenge the 9,999,999 army as I have 200+ coins to spy with. Thanks for the breakdowns.

Next time he battles a monarch have him configure his army so one of his three segments is maximum size (so the other two are minimum size). Next time he passes you after that, you'll see his most recent army configuration if you challenge him. The 1 max/2 min configuration guarantees victory for anyone who has an army size of ~110k and two spies to use.

I am really struggling to get anywhere near the target score in Mii Force 2-1. I always end up about 5,000. What am I missing?!
