3DS Streetpass Experiences

I'm wondering if something is up with some Nintendo zones in the UK. I triggered one while in a pub, I got 3 hits (was in the pub for over an hour), yesterday at the train station I get 3 hits from the zone there. The pub I can understand only having 3 (maybe not so many people) but that station is odd...

Makes me wonder if the zones are now set up to have 3 but give you up to 6 by using a spares pool (this is all the people from Germany etc) and the pool was empty...

It has been a bit unreliable the past two weeks in terms of connecting at all, but I have usually managed to get 4-6 each time.

Yet another new puzzle on my JP 3DS... wait, how many Kirby puzzles does this make now?

My play coins hadn't fully recovered from Honster Munter yet either...

That would be four.
Kirby's Dream Land (pre-installed), Kirby's 20th Anniversary, and Kirby's Return to Dream Land were the first three.

Finally finished the main component of Mii Force. All casualty-free clears, score thresholds and gems. Two greens worked best for me for the double kill in 4-3 and two light blues worked best for me in 3-3 (as opposed to orange).

Ugh, I don't even want to tackle Arcade Mode, doesn't seem like fun at all. Any optimal team set ups for that?

For me, I find using a pair of Light Greens & a Light Blue pilot to be a fine combination for playing Arcade Mode. (Place the Light Blue Pilot in the front-middle & the green pilots on the left & right side of your ship). The Orange & Dark Blue Pilots are quite useful for providing cover fire, so if you can, try to invest some coins for those units.

For Arcade mode, I used 2 Light Greens on the outside and a Light Blue on the inside. Only took me about 3 attempts to complete it.

No plaza tickets in months and then 2 come along at once.

Turned out I reached 1 million troops and hired 20 cats at the same moment.

Yeah, no LBW or Mario 3D World puzzle is disappointing. I thought they were waiting for the Japanese release of Zelda, now I don't know what they are waiting for.
It is times like this I hate how Japan centric they are. Japan just got Kirby and MH4 puzzles (is the latter the first non-first party...outside of McDonalds). America soon gets Chibi Robo.

Europe...well. We've not had a puzzle since Pokemon XY (neither has America), they didn't talk about Chibi Robo in the direct so that is March at least. Kirby I guess could be about then (wasn't paying attention to when it was coming out). If they get really desperate I suppose they could give us that Brain Training one but translating the game isn't worth it for NOE...

Zelda might just be a Paper Mario situation of no puzzle.

Oh man, I'm only two pieces away from completing all the puzzles.
Then Chibi-Robo and Kirby Triple Deluxe will show up... yaaay.

We can confirm that three puzzles will never leave Japan right? McDonalds, that Airport game, and Darumeshi Sports Shop. There is Monster Hunter 4 but there is a slight chance that will get localized.... then again it is Capcpom.

On the topic of Disney World, I was thinking it would be neat if each pavilion in EPCOT's international showcase were equipped with a 3DS whose region was set to that country, and it tags passers-by

That would be awesome.

I also thought before that a church should have one setup with a Jesus Mii.

Disney World is boss for StreetPass though, I ended up getting about a buck fifty over five days this summer.

I'm really surprised at the low number of Zelda streetpasses.

I even get quite a lot of people with it as their last-played title, but few of them show up in game.

I'm surprised how many Uprising tags I've been getting lately.

Also, Monster Manor question! Does anyone know if those stat boosting badges stack? Like if I have 2 of the 10 percent gem boosting badges, well I get 20?

Edit: Checked the Gamefaqs Wiki, apparently they are.

What region? Not getting it in NA, but I'm traveling and away from my usual spots.
Yeah, NA, sorry. Weird though. Does Nintendo push content to Nintendo Zones, or do the Zones make a client call to a central server to pull new content whenever someone connects to one?

Ensnaring Plasma is the best Mii Force weapon by far, right? It's too bad that lime-shirted Miis are so rare. I guess Hunting Shark would be a close second.

I got a Pokemon streetpass yesterday without leaving my apartment. Wat.
The StreetPass is coming from INSIDE THE HOUSE!

Neither, when a 3DS connects to a router with a SSID matching a known Nintendo Zone (I.e. attwifi) it requests from Nintendo servers current Nintendo Zone data.

None atm, but not so surprising as I havent really taken my 3DS out of my house (plus I've only started using it for like less than a month ago).

Is there anywhere a full list of all the games which use the streetpass function? (jap included.) searched on the Web w/o success

I get them somewhat frequently but I have no idea WTF they do aside from MiiPlaza. I see Pokemon ones but then I launch Pokemon and can't find anything in the game about it. Same for Animal Crossing.

Woo hoo! Wasn't sure I'd ever get it!
Did you go to the mall and find a Debs that is a Nintendo Zone or something.

Pokemon doesn't actually do anything useful, you just get some Pokemiles and acquaintances on your friends list for passing.

Animal Crossing adds their houses to your Happy Home Showcase north of the mall area.

So that's where they come from...

..but I got Reggie in mine! I passed Reggie!
It was probably from SpotPass at Starbucks.

I can get 12 passes a day, cos my pub is a Nintendo Zone. So, yeah. Pretty lucky though.

Lately I've only been checking it once a day, a) so that I have more passes at a time for Garden and Squad, and b) cos it takes fucking ages to go through the games. Weirdly, rather than fill the queue to 10, I only ever get 9. But I always get 6 if I check both times. Consistently. I wonder if that's a glitch, or if there's a reason Nintendo Zones won't fill your Plaza quota.

And I never, ever get Animal Crossing passes through the relay. Ever. I'm a bit annoyed about it, cos I see no reason why.

The one who beat it for me was a guy I had just accidentally rated "Okay, I guess..."

damn...glad to see a new piece, but i was within like 20 pieces of finishing all of em (and a buddy had like 14 or so).

trust me, finishing all the puzzles is way overrated! you'll feel accomplished for like 10 seconds and then just melancholy because you've run out of pieces to collect :(
