3DS Streetpass Experiences

Mii Force went from favorite to least favorite after completion. It's not worth playing unless I have like 8+ people at a time (plus the random bag of powerups can still screw you) and then you have to slog through a 3 minute level (not counting the dreaded arcade mode) so I rarely play it. They should give a retry option at the end of each level.
I had the opposite reaction. I started to enjoy it much more once I had completed almost everything. Once arcade mode was done I went back to try to get high scores on the normal levels in order to get all of the reputations for the last ticket. I only play when I have ~8 in my que (and then I pay for additional crafts to get up to 10). It's great. Try to get every last gem adds another level to the gameplay experience.

Stopped by a Starbucks to try to get relay passes, only to find that their Wi-Fi SSID is now "GoogleStarbucks". That ain't going to get me any passes.

Is this nationwide? are we all affected? On a similar note, I sat down at my local McD's for like 2 minutes and nada. Also only got 4 from my Home Depot, bah

Starbucks are apparently switching over to Google on a store-by-store basis (the pipe to the store has to be upgraded first before they'll cut over to Google from the old AT&T equipment). This has been going on for almost a year now; this particular location got its upgrade in the past month.

Is there a reason why I don't get a prompt to make a personal message to someone I have passed 4 times?

Parental controls blocking communication?

I need 2 more flowers to complete Garden.

After weeks of nothing, I have a seed with a 46% chance of a new flower.

Can I quit and retry if I don't get a new bloom?
I have a feeling it is fixed. The %s are lies really as seed shape takes more of a priority or something. Sometimes failing to get new constantly leads to the % chance rising though.

Pretty sure it's fixed when you receive the seed. Additionally, the percentages only matter if multiple options have the same seed shape. Make sure that your new seed doesn't match one of the parents first. (I love the 4% "NOT USEFUL" plant being the one that the seed is for.)

I will just add that there are only a few seed types so you can't simply assume that it isn't the new plant because it has the seed type of one of the parents. If it is different then you know it is the new one but this logic doesn't work in the reverse.

Good point. Also, as each breed has a fixed seed, I'm pretty sure someone's put together a list of each flower and their corresponding seed, so you can compare to that as well.

It can be hard to know the species from silhouette (especially with all the variance), seed selling price might be a better indicator though (the selling price is not constant but is based on what will grow). Personally those kinds of thing remove the fun (I'm in no rush to get all 80).

It depends on how many you have left and how they are spread across different families (this can give you an idea of the unknown based on the parents).

I get your larger point though. I have avoided gaming the street pass games.

I suppose that's fair. I kind of completed everything before there were any really good guides, so I guess I'm not coming in from the same place you are.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about, and I have owned these games since they launched. I've just been playing it randomly, planting those seeds with the best percentages. Got 10 more species to go.

My notifications look so pretty today. Plaza, MK7, Bravely Default, MH3U, SM3DL, Fire Emblem, and Layton all full and pink.

I just got a new puzzle.
Super Mario 3D World. Finally doing Wii U games again. I imagine we'll see DKC Tropical Freeze next, or Rusty's Real Deal Baseball (it already has a puzzle in Japan), or Kirby.

Too much to ask for a Wonderful 101 puzzle? ... It probably is *sad*

I get a bunch just by walking around campus. There is this one guy I regularly run into that has every puzzle completed barring two pieces.

streetpass just became creepy.
I am 34 and is really happy with my 3DS. Each time I turn it on at home, I streetpass someone, from my neighbors who I don't really know very well.
Very useful for find mii, cause I have Lev7 miis under the hand.

Yesterday, her mii said "U"re cute" (in french, "t mignon"). She's probably just above ten...

I think I am gona call Nintendo. They could probably shut down streetpass in a préemptive way.

What region? Not seeing a new puzzle in NA or JP.

US and JP machines got Mario puzzle yesterday.

AND I HAD JUST FINISHED CHIBI ROBO AT DISNEY WORLD!

It's like they know...

Neither of them (or brother's 3DS) got a pink piece of course.

I still haven't received the new puzzle piece. Lame.

In better news, I am finally making progress in Warrior's Way, thanks to blatant abuse of play coins. When I initially started my second playthrough, I was devastated at the loss of the star marker. But by that point you can spy twice, which, as far as I can tell, leaves battles purely cosmetic. Still, it's pretty satisfying watching your troops grow and upgrading your castle, I suppose.

I am slowly making progress in Mansion. It seems such a shame to waste the passes, so I find myself making rooms somewhat prematurely. I still see a gold chest every now and again, but for the time being, those Plaza tickets evade me.

I'm just fumbling with Garden. What was my favourite of the newer games has become a bit of a chore now that I'm just grinding for the last 10 species with odds that don't tend to exceed about 14%. I just don't see what I am supposed to do to improve my odds.

16 titles left to unlock in Squad. I just blast through an easy level as quickly as possible. There doesn't seem to be any requirement to unlock the titles, but I guess climbing the leader boards is something.

I'm just realising that all the Plaza tickets are achievable for me. Which is not something I would be saying without the relays. God bless them Nintendo Zones. Although it's gonna take ages to get the last one, which I assume will be 300 monarchs from afar.

Although, in Mansion, does the number of puzzle boxes that appears in the results show the total number of encounters, or separate "number" of boxes, like weapons? I haven't explained that very well.

It's really 400, because the 300 battles and 100 peaceful greeting tickets are mutually exclusive.

It's the number of distinct boxes you've solved. It won't increment unless you solve one you haven't before.

Just need three tickets in Warrior's Way. What the hell is a critical strike?

I have had it happen twice. Both times had all the following true:

* Have one win and one loss.
* Be on the third battle.
* Be just a few hundred Miis below the opponent after the evaluation.

It then glowed and Critical Striked for me.
I think I'll handle that one once I've gotten my 300 wins...

Yeah, I've only had one Critical Strike ever.
I've had it happen twice in total. Not sure what the threshold is but I think I was losing by more than a hundred or so troops when it fired. Basically it's a last chance crit which seems to only fire at random on the third match if you are about to lose.

And yes, I got this one really early on, against either ninjas or berserkers. It's more difficult later.

I just spent 15 days in Japan (especially Tokyo except 3 days).
I streetpassed more than 800 times (for the streetpass mii game) . Puzzles are finished.
You don't understand, even at places where there are just 2-3 people which passed near you, the green light is on.

But the most important thing that I noted there is that a lot of people disabled the streetpass mii game to just have their streetpass for other games (Animal crossing, nsmb, kirby, bravely default, etc etc...). If they had activated the mii game, i think that the 800 would rise until 1500 easily.

By example, went to a bic camera store in ikebukuro. After 5 minutes, I open my 3ds and
- Mii plaza 7/10 and Animal Crossing was already at 20/20 !! Just crazy.

With that, I had the gold medal in ANimal Crossing (meet 1000 people by streetpassing)

It might not be that it is disabled but if your queue is full it's frozen until the person clears their queue - no passes in or out. Since it's the one software everyone has and it's limited to 10 passes, it's the most likely queue to fill up.

I have a theory that the "data transfer" it isn't as instant as we think ... so if the person passed by you too fast it might be only be able to transfer a few games

Specialy because it happened to me getting pokemon passes and not plaza passes .... and considering where I was I am SURE that the person didn't had 10 people on their plaza queue =P

Went to a fighting game tournament this weekend (Winter Brawl in Philly) and had my Street Pass area in Link Between Worlds fill up in 10 minutes. I'll be fighting Shadow Link for a week!

I haven't even got bronze. Relays have simply stopped delivering AC passes. Haven't had one in months!

Yeah, I get one AC pass from a McD's pass, but the passes from strangers has died.

Going to Japan next month (like almost to the day) so my AC show town will be filled up nicely.

Mine's filled up, which is what I thought stopped the AC passes coming in. I went from never getting any passes to getting loads and loads when the relays started, so I was able to get AC passes consistently at work. Then they just stopped. Suddenly. I know there's a reason, but I just can't work out what it is.
