Getting multiple mood bubbles is a good idea because you can use different bubbles for personal messages.

I have to say, I'm really disappointed with the new hat/outfit selection compared to the last plaza update. There aren't very many new ones, and a lot of them are just full outfit versions of old hats. Really a shame.
I was also holding out hope for a Mega Man hat, given Nintendo's love affair with my favorite character recently... oh well.

and of course 1 weapon, and 10+ Puzzle Boxes
once you all clear the islands once, you no longer need those tickets anymore to access them

Just hold the fire button down and wait for the meter to fill.
The other important thing. To block (it slowly drains battery so only do as necessary). If you are good with timing you can hit an opponent (I think with a charge shot) right as they attack to delay that attack too.
The one exception is the rusty gun you start with does not have not have a charge shot.
I thought it was going to be irritating, but I had no trouble finding the dog.

So today I learned that Updating removes the streetpass characters that you have waiting to play games with. I hadn't did the update that lets in the new games yet and now I've lost 9 characters for puzzlepieces, flower growing, etc.
Lesson learned.

Got a notification that there was another plaza software update on my JP 3DS this morning. I already had the new games update from several weeks ago. I wonder what changed? Nothing seems different, though I don't have DLC content on my JP system.

Every time I'm in London (for holiday or work/school) and bring my 3DS to get some Streetpasses, it usually "turns off" at some point during the day (green streetpass light still on but screens black).
The only way youbcan get him out of that weird mode is by pressing the on/off button for about 15 seconds and then turning it on again.
I'm pretty sure it happens around oxford street / picadilly / soho. Never encountert the problem in other areas like f.e. camden or shoreditch.
It happened with the standart 3DS, the 3DS XL and now woth the New 3DS XL aswell! I'm not the only one, my friends from London encounter that issue on an almost daily basis!

Since I live in the Middle-of-Nowhere, USA, I've always struggled to get streetpasses. Several months ago, I went to a convention, and I managed to get 5 streetpasses (5 more than I had previously XD). Luckily, I managed to get an eon ticket out of it.

These games feel really 'light' compared to the others. I always feel like I'm missing something in Fishing because turns/trips are over so quickly.
It seems intentional after how long Force/Squad took but it's just a little too quick for me.

The first time through I just kept focusing on zombies so frequently missed the cues on where the dog runs to. So I was just endlessly running around in circles hoping to find it -_-
Used some play coins earlier to hire three people and all three had new weapons, so that's an option...

I guess you did not visit the MediaMarkt in the Alexa shopping centre near Alexanderplatz.
When I was there a few years ago they had several 3DS systems all on display and playable. Having to clear the queues was a bit of a pain (made worse by the fact they would all gets hits off each other). I no longer have those Miis due to my plaza getting too big
(they were the ones I beat Streetpass quest with and got a good foothold on the initial 15 piece puzzles in puzzle swap as their SD cards were absent for security reasons) I believe the Miis were mostly set to girls. I can not think where else I would get the pass 5 girls in a row accomplishment...

Any one with a second 3DS can cheat a bit with the Mii Plaza games.
Just set your 2nd 3DS to a different country for easy Premium Tickets in the Fishing game.
You can also change the 2nd 3DS Mii's color and hobby for the zombie game if there's a particular item you need.
Changing the 2nd Miis Birthday also works too for the VIP Birthdays.

I'm not cheating! A Japanese 3DS can't be set for a region other than Japan. Didn't cheat to get "my own birthday" either, my JP Mii is also me.
Apparently if a person never set a hobby, you get a random item, so I figure I'll eventually hit everything with my party pooper never set anything brother.
Seriously, he didn't even set cats. AND HE LOVES CATS.
I just walked home from work yesterday. 9 passes (and I get at least 4 a day)

As the 3DS goes on and streetpass gets less and less common, do you think Nintendo can make a patch where you can earn more play coins in a day and the maximum you can hold is increased?
Even something like 15 play coins a day/360 maximum would be ideal.

If you started the fishing game in a different country to your local that might have also worked without having to do anything on other systems. It makes a big deal of it if you start the game with no sub region set and it will set a sub region for you suggesting it is set when the game is first started like Vivillion in Pokemon.
I wish they do something about Mii Force... it's gonna take forever to earn every plaza ticket.

Ultimate Angler is a problem... when the mystery species just don't pop... and even if they do, they are are hard to capture... and usually you'll waste some bait getting seaweed, boots, cans or driftwood.

Living in BF, Florida, I still haven't gotten a StreetPass, BUT, I take my kid to school every day, walking him to class. So far, nothing (just did it one day), but I'm hoping if I keep bringing it with me, some of those 6th grade punks would have smuggled their 3DS in.
What's this Homepass thing? (again, I'm LTTP)

Are you familar with streetpass relays? Some public wifis will bank up to 10 streetpasses and send them to you when you connect. Home depot, starbucks, full list posted on nintendo's site (on mobile or else I'd post the link). Homepass is a method to turn your home wifi into one of these relays.

Wooo! Just got the "All Target Scores" ticket in Mii Force. Just four left (getting all the Treasure, all Casualty Free runs, all reputations and Arcade mode)

In the second Battleground Z level (where you collect the tires from the taxis), what am I supposed to do after collecting them all? Both times I've tried, I've gone back over to the Mii with the arrow pointing to them, but the time just runs out and I fail the mission. Do I need to also kill all of the zombies, or just the ones in the area around the Mii, or something like that?

I'm on my third island and still rocking a 1* rod. I kinda hate the way rods are done in this game, the improvement and combination systems are both a bit crap.
Wish there was just a simple rod shop where you could buy whatever using the coins you earn.

So in Zombies you want to turn on the turn into Zombie option. When someone you've teamed up with runs out of weapon HP one of two things can happen:
-They just retreat (option turned off)
-They stand there as a zombie. Walking up to them will cure them and they will give you their weapon at half health (option turned on). But there is a time limit to walking up to them. I think the disappear if you take too long.

I would guess beating challenges. I've gotten two star rods from treasure chests from the harder to catch boss fishes (the ones you need to wear the stamina gauge down on), no idea if the hardest ones there can be 3 star.

not gender-neutral. I don't mind with the ticket hats, but they should keep the ones awarded from games neutral so everyone can use it. I thought it might be the father's angler fish hat but nope, it's the girl's hairstyle and visor.
My second 3DS has a Toad Mii I made. His hobby was already set to Video Games and his location set the same as mine, he has no birthday set, and I'd feel like I'm cheating by changing him up that way. I do change his color from time to time though, as that feels less like cheating since people ask friends/relatives to change their shirt color for StreetPass all the time I'm sure. I know my mom and I do.
Sort of. It works just like a regular relay, but the people you get should all be people using homepass unless you're spoofing an actual relay somewhere.
I actually seem to get that one pretty frequently. Cleaning seems pretty rare, and studying. There's 2 I haven't gotten at all yet. I'm not sure what they are.

Got all Zombies weapons today, which is a shame actually as I liked discovering new ones, some are really well done.
Congrats! I know it's something that will take me a long time to achieve without "cheating" (I don't want the help of a friend's 3DS), but as you say it's pretty exciting when you get to try a new weapon. Cleaning is going to be a pain in the ass though.

I guess I cheated a little though, I bought a queue of people using play coins once and a few of them had new weapons. It was actually a little annoying as I wanted to get them all properly too!
I do switch my interests occasionally now to help others with the less popular ones like Camping, Cleaning and (Other). Gotta counter-balance against all these Wii Remotes!
Well, I still haven't spent any, but I don't consider using play coins as cheating. After all you've streetpassed them at some point
Beat Warrior's Way and got the "Army Twice my size" ticket. Six left. Peacefully greet 100 others (wish we had a way to see how many left), battle 100 monarchs, battle 300 monarchs, army of a million, Castle Rank 20, and conquer the world twice.
I also beat Floor 30 of Monster Manor. Still need Two Silver Chests, the second Golden Chest, and all the weapons and puzzle boxes.

Also realized I have 22 plaza tickets, so I've earned 1/3 (?) of the new tickets? And now it gets to much harder (and mind you I never earned three tickets from the last round of games.) Should probably start buying some hats.
