3DS Streetpass Experiences

Wait, so there are secret quests? Does that mean that there are condition under which I will never get those hats if I never get those quests?

How the hell do you find a secret quest anyways? I want a
3DS
hat :(

When you beat Streetpass Quest 2 and you restart you have an option of doing it again or doing the secret quest.

Well I guess that makes spoiler tagging a bit pointless now.

Interesting to see
Barbara the bat
even got a hat.

How many times do you need to complete sp quest to get all the hats? I'm about to finish my second run of street pass quest II and am still missing a ton of hats.

Based on the fact you get hats from beating some rooms twice and there are three paths I'm guessing about six times minimum.

Woo, all puzzles (currently) are finished. Thank you Zelda concert for those pink pieces.

As for the golden key...I'm pretty sure I beat Find Mii II Secret Quest with many more than twenty miis and I got the key that unlocked the bottom right area. I'll be heading that way again once I finish up with Find Mii II again.

So I was driving the other day and managed to get a Streetpass on the highway, what are the odds?

Even stranger is later that day I went to Ikea, got a Streetpass, and it was the second time I've met the guy. Mind you this is in the greater Central Florida area, so the chances of running into someone with a 3DS, from the area, and for a second time? Such crazy odds.

Otherwise my school is a ghost town for anyone with a 3DS, I guess I better try a different campus or a theme park or something.

If you pick the right routes I'm pretty sure you can do it in three.
Not the Secret Quest. The ways the paths are branched I believe it takes at least five to go through every room (and I'm not sure that ensures getting every hat).

What I really want are more puzzles. I've had all of them completed for nearly a month already. You'd think we would get a NSMB2 puzzle by now.

I believe you have to complete the Secret Quest of Find Mii II at least 10 times in order to get all the hats, and that's only if you choose the right paths. It can take even more tries than that.

You get the golden key by
killing the finial boss with less than 25 Mii's iirc

My 3DS was experiencing a problem where it would brick 10 seconds after turning the power on, and I got it back from repair this morning.

All of my data is erased, no Street Passes, no Mii Plaza progress or achievements, no Swap Notes (many from my daughter), no play log.

I feel ill.

To make matters worse, now my slide pad doesn't respond, a problem that didn't exist when I sent it in two weeks ago. This will make three repairs for my 3DS (first was for screen scratches) which beats the previous record held jointly by my Dreamcast and 360, at two each. ugh

Yeah, to get all the hats in the Secret Quest, what I did is go through each path twice (There are 5 paths: 1 only up top, on straight through the middle, one that deviates from the middle after two rooms, and the bottom paths.) Just letting you know, the lower the room on the map the 'harder' they get (I disagree, the middle path is frustrating. I shan't spoil it, as I have done that enough..=/ BUT, stupid enemies are stupid).

That said...Snowden's Secret...I am now even more paranoid of sending my own 3DS in. My warranty is nearly over, and I figure, now is a good time to send it in, to fix the scratched screens...but I thought, if you backed up you SD card (which, yes, I do almost every day!) that saves your Streetpass information? Or did they wipe that too? Crazy...=/

I think I would go insane! (I love those hats, and love helping others get pieces, not having either...*shudders* would be a scary thought indeed)

NEW PUZZLE!

Just got Spotpassed a piece, seems like it's going to be a pretty epic one.
I need to get to Disneyland this year... although I did get 6 at the California State Fair...

(I'm also starting to think that many people never started up the Mii Plaza -- I've got 8 SM3DL streetpasses, but only 6 Streetpass ones. I'm thinking this might tie into the fact that SM3DL has a big ENABLE STREETPASS prompt when you start the game.)

Still waiting to get my first streetpass for either Samurai Warriors or Centipede: Infestation...

Feel for ya, dude. Get a fresh start ready for the XL in a little over a month.

Things could be better, sure, but they can always be worse.

I never get spotpassed anything, how does this work?
When new puzzles are sent, everyone gets a puzzle with a free piece, which can be a blue or a purple piece. These are notified via SpotPass and the blue light should turn on on your system. Also, the Plaza Icon should have a blue dot.

Of course, SpotPass needs to be enabled in your Plaza, so make sure you have the option turned on.

Weird -- I appear to have about 20+ "Invitation Miis" that appeared in my plaza, but I'm not sure where they came from, as I didn't play MK7 online recently.

Are SM3DL and Kid Icarus adding Initation Miis too? I never noticed it before, but...

That's odd. I've had SpotPass enabled in the Plaza since I got my 3DS (mid June) and it's never lit up, nor have I ever received notifications of the sort.

If you turn off your 3DS when you're not using it, you greatly reduce your chances of receiving SpotPass updates in a timely matter and might miss them altogether. If you keep your 3DS on at all times and just leave it in sleep mode when not using it then I'm not sure why you wouldn't get them if you have a working wifi hotspot.

Yeah I haven't turned off my 3DS in forever, and I'm always connected to wifi at home.

Fake edit: I just got the notification now O.o Never ever have before though. Odd.

Did you recently go to SDCC or someplace else where you got a lot of StreetPasses? At places with lots of StreetPass potential, you could end up StreetPassing a lot of people but missing some of those people's StreetPass Mii Plaza tags. If you didn't get their Mii via StreetPass in the Plaza, you could have possibly still received their StreetPass data from another game that supports Miis, like nintendogs + cats, Mario Kart 7, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Pokémon Rumble Blast, or even Nintendo 3DS Sound. If you have Invite Mii turned on, then those Miis will be sent to your StreetPass Mii Plaza via Invitation whenever you check your StreetPass data for those titles.

Even if you back up your SD card, your 3DS wouldn't be able to read that data if they did end up wiping it.

If you're going to send your 3DS in to Nintendo, just make sure to tell them in your note (you're supposed to send a note in with your system describing what's wrong and such) that you don't want them to delete any data on your system at all. If you stress that in your note then they'll be sure to not wipe it, unless there's no other option, though if you're just sending your system in to get the screens fixed then you shouldn't have to worry about that. I got my system back with all my original data intact. But I was very cautious when sending mine in, even going as far to tell them to just send my 3DS back to me without fixing it if they had no other option but to delete my data.

But like I said, unless there's something seriously wrong with your system, you shouldn't have to worry about losing any data. It doesn't hurt to tell them that you don't want any data lost, though.

EDIT: Oops, double post, sorry. >.>

I can't really take advantage of StreetPass where I live. There are just not many people with 3DS systems. I went to the mall and several stores today with my 3DS. Nothing.

It's rather unfortunate. I love the idea, and I love seeing all of these hats people are getting.

Where do you live? There might be a StreetPass group near you that you can join! Or you can start your own! Unless you live in the middle of nowhere, there are bound to be some other 3DS owners near you!

It's the same where I live, at most I get like 3 tags when I'm on a mall. And that's only on weekends.

Most of my streepass tags where from SDCC.

The Zelda Symphony concert also, everybody was checking their streetpass data before the concert started.

As rare hats, I got the
3DS which I use, and the triforce one. The 3DS one is not really a "hat", since your Mii head is jumping from the touch screen on the shoulders level. Kinda bad, is that some 3D effect? It should be on the top screen if it's the case...

On my japanese system a new puzzle piece was offered to me this morning via spotpass: Brain Training is back!

You never got Reggie's Mii? I believe it was delivered via spotpass.
Nope. When was that sent out? Maybe it was a time-specific thing? I've had my 3DS for exactly a month.

Though on two separate occasions 50 or so Miis randomly showed up in my Plaza, which I am still looking for an explanation for.

If you own Mario Kart 7, if you enter the Mario Kart Channel, it will import Miis from the "Suggested Communities" panel. I'm not sure if you have to browse the list of communities or not, but that's where most of my Plaza Miis seem to have come from.

Reggie's Mii was sent out on the one year anniversary of the 3DS's NA release, which I'm pretty sure was more than a month ago.

I wonder if they'll push enough gold pants Miis over SpotPass to eventually net people that can't go to E3 that one achievement.

We're one fifth of the way there!
