3DS Streetpass Experiences

Speak for yourself. This National Streetpass weekend gave me all of the pink pieces for it in record time. I was pleasantly surprised to knock off such a new puzzle so quickly

Got all pinks for Fantasy Life and got quite a few plaza tickets this weekend. Also got like 35k troops on Warrior's Way even though I lost a battle because of stupid rocky terrain :(
 
Accomplished a lot this weekend. Got all the remaining pieces I needed for the Mega Man/Kirby Fighters/Fantasy Life panels (over 80); beat Warrior's Way for the 2nd time; got all the plaza tickets from the Flower game. So for now, I'm done with Streetpass. Don't care about getting the remaining plaza tickets for Mii Force or Monster Manor. And I definitely won't be playing Warrior's Way for a third time just for one plaza ticket
 
Thanks to PAX Aus (more streetpasses than I could actually cycle through fast enough) I've gotten all the Puzzle Swap pieces, beat the secret quest and have more money in Streetpass Garden then I know what to do with.
I got the 100+ encounters on the first day, don't think I'll be getting nearly as many for another year.

I was watching the 3DS Introduction Trailer and it seems it was intended for us to be able to receive more than 10 plaza passes:

I wish 10 was the limit provided you had 12 Streetpass titles active but this increased more and more with fewer titles active, so you'd be able to hold 15 hits with only 8 titles activated and what not.
 
I figure its a long shot but I'm going to ask in this thread. I followed this guide for the Homepass Relay:


Fist, change your MAC
1.open [Device Manager]
2.find your wireless network card under [Network adapters], and double click on it
3.click [Advanced] tab
4.select something like [Network Address] or [Locally Administered Address] in [Property]
section
5.select [Value:] and enter the MAC address you want ([Not Present] is the default)
6.press [OK]

Then, create a hosted network
1.
WIN7: press [Start], enter [cmd] and hit [Enter], right click on [cmd] and select [Run as
asministrator]
WIN8: open [charm bar], press [Search], enter [cmd], right click on [cmd] and select [Run as
asministrator]
2.input [netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=attwifi key=password](change "password"
to any passwork you want)
3.input [netsh wlan start hostednetwork]
(*you can input [netsh wlan stop hostednetwork] to turn off the hostednetwork)
(*you can input [netsh wlan show hostednetwork] to show the configure)
4.go to [Control Panel]=>([Network and Internet]=>)[Network and Sharing Center]
5.you will see [attwifi] there, it will show [Local Area Connetction*##] after [Connections:]
(## could be any number)
6.find the network which is connected to the Internet, click the words after [Connections:]
to open the status
7.click [Properties], click [Sharing] tab, check [Allow other network users to connect
through this computer's Internet connection], and select [Local Area Connetction*##] (the
connection of the hostednetwork[attwifi]) (maybe you don't need to select because you only
have two connections)
8.press [OK]

Finally, change your 3DS network settings
1.open your 3DS, open [System Settings], click [Internet Settings], search [attwifi] and
enter the passwork
2.close [System Settings]
Last step: turn your 3DS into sleep mode (suggest) and wait for streetpass!
(*you can't use nintendo zone app because your are using an AP with encryption)
(*your hosted network will stop automatically whenever you change your MAC)

I got the whole thing workin, I have internet connection on my 3DS. But I'm not getting any Streetpasses or Nintendo Zone connection. Right now I am using the Nintendo World NYC MAC address, and nothing. Any help here?
 
I'm now only 2 pink pieces away from having all of them, and then I can focus 100% of my efforts on knocking out puzzles. This is a big achievement for me in the Plaza. I should have the final two by the end of the week.

Dang, how long have you been going at this? How are you able to obtain so many? Do you HomePass a couple of times a day?
 
I've been playing Mii Force a lot lately. I'm starting to get into it and really enjoying it.

Still trying to get the rest of the flowers in Flower Town. I have 75 out of 80.

I've had my 3DS since Black Friday '13, so close to a year. I don't have a HomePass set up at all, it feels against the spirit and since I can get decent passes in my daily life+extra stops at AT&T spots, I never felt the need. I've basically brought it with me to classes most days. There's a bunch of people who bring their 3DS's to play Pokemon/Smash whatever and while I rarely play with them (cool guys, but not huge into Pokemon/Smash), they have a lot of pieces so I've gotten pinks pretty easily from them. I've also done some relays, and I did a crapton of them for the National weekend. Most of the Play Coins I have go to Puzzles pieces too, although some go to extra heroes or potions in Find Mii 2, and a few went to Soul Hackers/SMT4 as well.

So long story short, diligence, being around people with 3ds's on a regular basis, and relay passing.

Pretty much this for me too. 3DS since launch; only missing one pink piece and four blue pieces on Fantasy Life and everything else is completed.

Also... voted, no StreetPassing occurred. *chuckles* Not that I expected it. I had to be the youngest there in my mid-30's.
 
I got a ton of tags at the Symphony of the Goddesses concert last year in Chicago. Also got a ton of them the last two years spending a week at Disney World.

I have two systems and always get my 10 coins per day so I have a surplus of coins to buy blue pieces when new panels come out.

The two systems means any special Mii that comes I get two pinks instead of just one.

I do hit up relays a couple times per month. My local Home Depot gives me tags just sitting in the parking lot sometimes.
 
...I've not been getting street passes since I updated even from my roommates who have also updated.

Edit: it usually takes me 2 weeks to get all the puzzle pieces on a new puzzle. There are 10 or 11 people at my job with 3ds and I have 15 friends with them in addition to living near a university with 2 starbucks.
 
Well after been spoiled by my homepass rasp pi relay i decided to take my 3DS with me when i went out into town i as i thought i might get fun to get some proper "in the wild" streetpasses. I was wandering around for many many hours in a lot of populated areas.

Got the grand total of zero streetpasses yeah totally worthless in my city, don't know why i bothered. Zero chance of getting any local passes, will just rely on my own relay from now on as i actually enjoy the game related pass data and been able to use the streetpass games i paid for, if i had to rely on going out for mii data i'd never hardly play it at all. one mii isn't going to get far when playing any of them and using coins to buy cpu miis is a hollow experience.
 
I used to get 18-20 passes every day where I used to live.

My current location is such a come-down. Luckily I've done as much as I want to do with the Plaza already. This is just the slow road to 5000 tags.
 
My puzzle swap progress in the past 4 weeks is best sumarised as one Fantasy Life piece (outside of the 20 something I bankrupted myself on play coins for). Relays are dead to me as well. I intentionally passed two by two and managed to get a single hit. Whoop.

What was odd is the spoof relays also seemed to fail, maybe I didn't leave them for long enough (I have a theory that the intervals between wireless modes have been changed, possibly to conserve battery). Then again no Mac address trickery was applied.
 
Well, I got eight new pieces from today's ten passes (including a bunch of pinks), so I should probably stop moaning.
 
Just got it in Japan, pretty easy to complete 15 pieces & no pinks only one piece left to get now. All hail the home relay station.
 
Got them now. I got Occupational Hazards on both NA and JP. Welp

Took 102 coins to complete it on one 3DS - JP won the race. Guess I need to go hunting for the others soon.
 
I've got 8 US 3DSs and 2 Japanese 3DSs and between all of them I only got the three Pikmin puzzles. I guess the Sonic Boom puzzle isn't out yet?

Think it's coming out in a week or two or whenever the 3DS game comes out. NoA retweeted something about the demo, game, and puzzle panel coming out this month.
 
Here I was pleasantly surprised that I would get a puzzle and still not fall too far behind with that pikmin puzzle, and now I'm learning that there's multiple?

Just can't win...

At least I finished the Fire Emblem puzzle. The crit cut in popping up was a pleasant surprise for it.

I also lost my first battle in Warrior's Way. Tried to fight country 5 or 6 at a 1.5x disadvantage, which didn't go so way.
 
Just hit Europe. Got Occupational Hazards.

15 pieces is a relief for the Pikmin trio as I can brute force them to completion with play coins, going to be really hard to get bang for my buck though as stupid Fantasy Life is incomplete so 50% of the time I'll waste coins on that.

There, 99 play coins left (I think 20 days will be enough for other puzzles to come out), 11/15 on Pikmin and 30/40 on Fantasy Life (no purples so 30/32 really...unsure if it still selects that puzzle when only purples are left).
