3DS Streetpass Experiences

I finally set up StreetPass Relay at home. I've only ever gotten one real StreetPass and so far (after having used the Relay twice), I've gotten five StreetPasses. That is so damn cool. Looking at how many puzzle pieces most of these guys have is amazing. I don't even have a single puzzle completed :lol
 
I need more play coins :/ Also on Warrior's Way I've been avoiding all those 9,999,999 cheats, buuuut I guess I might as well "fight" them (with no chance) to get the "battle 500", since that's gunna take FOREVER. (Currently at >20 :/)

Been reading up on it seems that the first pikmin puzzle panel you get via spottpass but the other 2 that go with it have to be obtained from people you streetpass. I was wondering though if the other 2 can only be obtained from streetpassing how did they originally get them, my guess is when you get the piece to unlock the new pikmin panel that it also unlocked the other 2 but you cant see them on yours only when you get pieces from others can you see them.

They are in all 3 regions so the pieces should be easier to get.

Actually whenever they release several puzzles at once, it is simply random which panel you will get a piece from. My US 3DS got one Pikmin one, JP one got a different one, brother's got the third (LUCKY!)
 
Ah i wasn't aware that it was random which of the 3 you got. I ended up with the night juicer as my pikmin short movie panel, had to get the other 2 from passing people. Eventually managed to complete them all so im now fully complete till a new puzzle comes out again.

I checked my second queue of plaza Miis, and one of them had a piece for a second Pikmin puzzle.
 
Does anyone know if it is possible to set-up a HomePass with just a wireless connection? All the guides I read have both wired and wireless. This is on Windows 7.

When I tried it earlier, my main network wasn't connected and the attwifi network was. So I had no internet on my computer, but my 3DS was able to use the attwifi network. I don't really know how it works.

I wish I didn't have to try and use HomePass. There used to be ~5 people at my school with the system, but now most have graduated. I don't think anyone else brings theirs anymore.

Nutty amounts of StreetPassing for such a short time yesterday. And I was even an idiot for half the time and forgot I left it in download mode when I was in a line (which if I remember correctly, you don't collect StreetPasses during). If you're anywhere near Anaheim today, just hanging outside the convention center is gold.
 
Flower Town is really fun and opens up quite a bit once you get the 20 plants. I'm about to get my first plaza ticket for doing jobs. I figured out how to plant with people I tagged and I even have a full seed box! Definitely feel like I can get all the tickets from this game. Might even get most of them on Warrior's Way and Monster Mansion.
 
I'm 45 distant warriors away from the last plaza ticket in Warrior's Way and my last overall. I doubt I'll be done before the end of the year, but it'd be nice!

I wanted to get all flower colours in Flower Town, but it's so tedious. I think I'll just throw in the towel or start doing it casually by holding a random plant and getting seeds as they come. I already gave up on getting gold medals for all jobs and I have all the tickets so there's no incentive for me to continue playing other than for the elusive golden watering can. Definitely the most time-consuming game.

I think I got an identical set of relay passes two days in a row.

Each person today I was meeting for a second time.

Lazy relay.
 
Just finished the first two legs of my Asia vacation in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Wow, its almost like no one in Hong Kong owns a 3DS. I walked with mine for 2 days, passing by tens of thousands of people a day and got 3 streetpasses, all from Japanese tourists.

Taiwan has been a bit better.

Normal; when a new puzzle is released you are randomly given a puzzle you do not yet have any pieces for. You're not guaranteed the newest puzzle.

I take it JP didn't get Sonic Boom since it has yet to appear on my JP 3DS. Awful lot of puzzles unique to my NA 3DS recently.
 
I bring my 3ds to university daily! If you have time, try to hit up the English and art buildings! I'm an English major/art minor and I fill up my streetpasses almost daily! Though those two buildings are the only ones that I seem to get any from, though: the library, dining halls and really anywhere else on campus give me next to nothing.


I also live near an airport, so I've been meaning to see if i can't get some international streetpasses there sometime
 
Maybe someone in here can help me, not sure.

It seems like the first slot in my StreetPass data screen doesn't work. I'll explain a bit more.

After a week with no Fantasy Life passes - despite passing people who had it as their last played game - I set up Homepass and still wasn't getting any. I knew something was wrong at this point. I read elsewhere that a possible solution was to deactivate StreetPass for another title and reactivate it so that Fantasy Life isn't in the "first" slot on the StreetPass Management screen. I tried it, and it worked.

The game I had moved to the first slot was Shovel Knight, so when I wasn't getting any hits for that I assumed there just wasn't anyone to pass. So out of curiosity, I removed Shovel Knight and activated Pokemon. No Pokemon passes. I'm now convinced that whatever game I have in the first StreetPass slot doesn't work and I have no idea how I would go about fixing this issue.

There's no help I'm afraid.
This is a bug that's existed for years now and none of the numerous system updates have changed it.
It doesn't affect everybody so nobody really knows the cause.
I've had it across three seperate units and, as I've used System Transfer each time, I have a hunch it may be to do with my profile rather than it being the hardware.
Every time I get a new Streetpass game I de-and-then-re-activate Letterbox/Swapnote so it's always first.
I never gets hits for that anyway.
 
3 Pikmin movies and Sonic Boom get in before A Link Between Worlds. Fucking non games and a shitty third party game make it before one of the best 3DS games (arguably the best)

What the fuck is this shit

yes I realise I am literally making the same post every time a new puzzle comes out for almost a year but goddamn it nintendo
 
When i saw Sonic boom been mentioned i was hoping it wouldn't appear on my Japanese 3DS, phew captain Toad to replace it, bullet dodged LOL.

Why does it have to be a 'Boom' puzzle?
Why can't it just be Sonic, like the Mega Man puzzle and be for the series instead of a specific game?

Anyway I've got four puzzles incomplete which I think is the most since the 3DS launched haha
 
Got two tags in line at a clothing store on Saturday and got the final Pikmin puzzle! Need about 10 blues total for the four and all the pinks. Hoping to get some tags on Friday at Best Buy when I pick up pokemon...
 
I honestly legit felt angry when I saw that Sonic shit appear on my screen, the fact that that stupid thing has a puzzle but Link Between Worlds didn't... just agggggh!

Might as well add another stupid Kirby one tomorrow just to make me go over the edge Nintendo. :|
 
Just fired up a homepass as I'm at 299 play coins and would like all the puzzles currently available before spending away.

It only gave me 4 Miis instead of 6 but I got a special Mii...you mean...NOE finally remembered what a special Mii is...

So who is it: Shigeru Ohmori complete with black shirt. Finally a non-green shirt special Mii for me, well except for that Miyamoto one IIRC (which died because my plaza exceeded 1000) poor guy hasn't got ORAS yet as he is playing Pokemon X.

Edit: 50 play coins spent for ~13 pieces...when you consider three of the puzzles it could choose had one piece in them that is terrible. I was able to confirm that it stops picking puzzle when you have all the non-pink pieces in it.

The other day I tried the process of removing some of my older, level 1 Miis and I found the process to be excruciating. I don't see how there's a way to save a special Mii if you're close to the 1000 mark because it's a lot of work to clean them out, one at a time.

I've been really enjoying the Mii Force game. Trying to get all of the objectives (all treasures, no casualties, target score) for each area. There are some really clever boards/areas. I must say that I have gotten a lot of value out of the $16 I spent on the StreetPass games.

You can send/copy them to Mii Plaza so they can live a life in Smash Bros etc. The dead comment was more because they are the exception to the rule of oldest Mii get demoted to "met via invitation" as a result the first few E3 ones and Miyamoto are gone for me...I guess I could look up QR codes or something.
 
New special Mii (Hayashida) and puzzle panel (Ultimate NES Remix)

The new panel comes after so Hayashida has no pieces for it apparently. But he does have the pinks for Sonic!
