3DS Streetpass Experiences

I was trying to set it up with a tiny router i have, but it doesn't have the exact functionality for a script since it's a cheap working router (ddwrt)

then i read about doing android like with your phone, but no i'm not doing that. I only have one android phone.

I'm really not interested in setting something up where I have to manually input a new mac address at a time.

I have this setup. I'm using the Linksys WRT54G. I don't use any scripts. I have it as a secondary wireless access point. I just bring up the browser and change the MacID when I want to do so. Not sure why you want it scripted. Seems like a lot of work to go through a lot of streetpasses.

there's a script on gbatemp but my router is using ddwrt-micro and it doesnt work on micro because there's not enough ram or something

I'm too lazy to have to manually edit it instead of it c hanging itself every few hours.

You could get the Linksys WRT54G from ebay for around $15-$20. Or check out your local Craigslist or Freecycle for a cheaper or free version.
 
Sooooo happy! So I ran into someone with twice my army in Warrior's Way and decided to go for it. I ended up not just getting my "beag an army twice as big" but the 1.5 size one too (thought those had to be separate) AND I won by getting a critical strike too!

3 tickets in one go is nice :) Got what I thought would be some of the toughest ones out of the way.
 
Did the latest system update fuck up Homepass again? Using the Nz@McD1 SSID on Windows 8.1, and the connection works fine but still I haven't received any streetpasses.

I hate this shit, if you live anywhere outside Japan or the US, you're basically fucked with streetpasses. This was my only way to use it. :/

attwifi and Nz@McD1 both work. Which MacID are you using? There is a spreadsheet that shows the MacIDs people use.

I'm having this problem again and I figured out the issue. The problem was my daughter's StreetPass was full (10/10). She hasn't been playing or clearing her queue for a number of days because of her focus on Pokemon OR. Once I fired up her 3DS and cleared out her queue, I immediately got a streetpass from her. So it seems that when your queue is full, you won't get more streetpasses nor will you send one.

Finally got Nebraska today so I have the U.S. filled!


I also got to 5-3 of MiiForce where I have the final battle with Gold Bones. Got clobbered but will try again.
 
JP 3DS just picked up the Sonic Boom puzzle tonight. Starting to fall behind a bit on completed puzzles, still have six pinks to go on Captain Toad.

Too bad McDonalds isn't a Nintendo Zone anymore in Canada... or at least in downtown Montréal. I used to visit several McDonalds on SP weekends.

I am having the SAME experience. I can connect to Nintendo Zone but am getting NO StreetPasses.

I assumed the same thing, the most recent update fucked up HomePass. I would LOVE to know if anyone has gotten HomePass working with the usual MACs, on the most recent Firmware.

I'm glad that I'm not going crazy and I'm not the only one having the same issue.

It works fine for me.


I finally got the third gem in MiiForce 4-3. It's the one where you have to destroy the top & bottom ships simultaneously. It took me about 20 times before I was successful.

Now I can focus on clearing out everything in world 5. I still need to beat the final boss as well.
 
Finally got my first Streetpass in what seems like months yesterday while out Christmas shopping... Good to see at least one of the customers at the GameStop across from where I was shopping had his 3DS with him... I'm still missing the multitude of StreetPasses I got on my trip I took to DC this fall though...

How? I set my SSID to attwifi and my security to off, but it's not working for me. What other settings do you have clicked? Channel? Signal settings?

Also, is the Smash puzzle not live in America? I've got 8 US 3DSs and none of them received it.
 
Smash Puzzle turned up on JP machine last night. When I got the notification my heart sank since I was JUST about to complete Sonic Boom on that one AND I am of course still missing six pink pieces on whatever that most recent JP-only puzzle is.

Really hoping Smash turns up on our US ones today so I can have it ready to go in time for my INSANE SHOPPING DAY tomorrow. Not to mention dragging my brother to Home Depot at least once a day till I leave for LA. Home Depot during relay events is AWESOME, those shops have like 4-7 relay points.

Channel & signal do not matter. Have you verified with a laptop or some other non-3ds device that your ssid is attwifi and there's no security?
 
Don't think I passed by a wifi spot, but I think it was because I was at an event today where I ran into a bunch of people. Several from Colorado, and a couple other states I already have (boo) as well as a new region in Japan :) Then again, maybe I was close enough by a Starbucks and didn't even realize it.

... Seriously? There is one by my house, I drive by the front of it every week for Streetpass. I had no idea they had multiple relay points in the store! I'm going to check this out today.

I worked on HomePass for about 30 minutes today, couldn't get it working. It connects and everything, but no passes. I don't know. Really frustrating because I HAD it working like a month ago, and it was beautiful! So many puzzle pieces! I guess now I'm going to have to make the most out of this StreetPass Holiday Weekend deal for the next week.

Does Best Buy have a Relay station too?

Security don't matter. I set mine with a password and registered it on the 3DS, and I received plenty of homepasses.
 
Did the Smash Puzzle show up for anyone in the US yet? Nintendo posted a Miiverse message like 22 hours ago saying there was a new puzzle, but I haven't seen one yet...
 
I was able to complete the Smash Bros. puzzle set, surprisingly all in one go. Just about every Mii that had visited my plaza was able to get me a pink puzzle piece, and I had spent the rest of my coins on acquiring the rest.
