3DS Streetpass Experiences

There are a lot more plaza tickets in the new games the zombie one has 22 i havent checked the fishing one. There is now an option to buy backgrounds for your greeting phrase when you streetpass they are in with the hats when you use plaza tickets which is why there are a lot more tickets than normal.

Using the rest of the tickets to get the hats i want then i shall use the harder to get tickets to mop up the rest.

I used up every ticket I had leaving just the three missing hats of UGH I HATE THEM ANYWAY. (Eggplant, eww, Pineapple, gross, Strawberry, seriously they make me throw up.)

Stupid Mii Force.

Already have the Mii Plaza update on JP, though I will wait for it to hit NA to spend any money. I got three word balloon frames for free: the Find Mii map, the Puzzle Swap background, and a pink one featuring the salesbunny.

Shoooot. More Plaza addictions. Between this and Pokemon Shuffle, Nintendo really has me by the balls.

But I'll accept the groin torture with pride, I guess.

Any idea when it hits North America? Once again, it looks like we are last (still bitter about the last additions, my wife got way ahead of me on Warrior's Way because of it)

I had just completed the latest Monster Hunter puzzle set, and I'm now firing all cylinders to complete Flower Town & Mii Force. I just need 5 flower species, and to complete Mii Force on Hard Mode.

You'll also get so many streetpasses you may get sick of the games by the end of those two months ha ha ha!

It's amazing how I'm most sick of Mii Force now, despite being an arcade-y game. It feels the most approachable, but damn it, going for the arcade mode challenges is lengthy and tough. I even enjoy playing SHMUP games but its not as drawn out of an experience as Mii Force.

I love MiiForce but even I am taking a break from it. Still need to complete arcade mode.

I enjoyed Mii Force when I first got it, but it's also what made me realize that "gamey" games aren't really suited for the StreetPass Plaza (for me, anyway). I found Flower Town much more enjoyable over a longer period of time -- although as I said earlier, the limited amount of garden space is frustrating.

ditto... it takes WAYYY too long

YEAHAHA, FUCK YOU, ARCADE MODE! FINALLY!

Well it IS called arcade mode, but yeah it takes an hour or so.

I've played it so often that I got sick of the music and still had it playing in my head while the 3DS was muted.

I did some digging into this Premium Plaza, soooo:

- There are 22 new Plaza Tickets and so presumably 22 new hats.
- Birthdays are added, each Mii you pass has their birth date registered on a calender
- Filling in an entire month rewards you with a Plaza Ticket...
- ...so you get 12 from the Birthday Calendar, meaning the two new games must have 5 each
- You can move any Mii into a special VIP Room where they'll never be deleted
- You're free to choose between the 7 BGM themes
- You can also listen to unlocked music in sleep mode with headphones
- You can choose which information to omit when you meet Mii's, speeding up the whole gate greeting sequence

That seems to be all of the changes.
Seems a bit weird to be a paid update, no?

Ha you sound just like me, I've just hit G-Rank and my every gaming moment is consumed by Monster Hunter... but I've got a serious weakness for Streetpass and its hats!

The speeding up the greetings thing should have been free, the hell. Honestly, that alone is worth 5 bucks to me, so I might do it.

Blargh, hope the update gets pushed through early. I leave for Disney World that day and the 3DS and hotel wi-fi do not get along. And I don't want to miss out on sweet sweet Disney tags!!!!!
When in doubt, phone WiFi tethers are your friend. I've gotten a lot of puzzle data in a pinch that way.

I finally managed to get the 4th Wheels of Woe Gem in Mii Force by hiring two orange heroes and a few wandering heroes to pad my power.

I still need Gems 2 and 3 from Nautilus Nest, Gem 3 from Prospector's Trench (Ugh) and Gem 2 from Central Core. Are play coins the best way to get these more difficult gems?

Still need to clear Arcade Mode too, but that's just a matter of perseverance.

Using coins to hire hand-picked Miis is the only way to beat Arcade Mode unless you're extremely lucky and everyone you encounter in the wild has a decent colour. I also did it to ensure I have the best team to get all the gems. You don't want to be stuck with black-shirted Mii when you're required to kill an enemy within seconds.

I'm completely done with Streetpass games now. The fishing game is tempting but I'm wasting time on Pokémon Shuffle now instead. Not spending any money.

In the end, I beat the final boss with a L1 bomb and a L2 white blade. Well, I wrecked a golden hand with two L2 charged purple shots and lost one in the process.

You can beat all of the boards with shitty miis if you know the patterns. I have gotten up to the 5th world in arcade mode with a shitty team because I know the patterns and the safe spots for the boss. I just need to spend some time to get all of the way to the last world.

I do agree having certain miis is the best way to go.

So I think I got a Bravely Second demo tag (the card with P on it is the Bravely Second game icon, right). Which is pretty interesting considering I own Bravely Default.

What, isn't this because you have two different accounts? >_>

Holy crap I do........ O_O

Mystery solved I guess.

I must be going insane because I don't ever recall creating two separate accounts.... How? When? Dang... I think I need to sit down.

I was in Disney World twice last year and got system updates and new puzzle panels through the Hotel wifi. You just need to set it up in the settings.

I got to the last boss in Mii Force Arcade Mode, then died while he was flashing red :( It's the last ticket I need until the update (not counting the final free ticket for getting the rest.)

I would message a mod about this to clear up the issue. Having multiple accounts can get you permabanned.

So guys. I've been ignoring my last Monster Manor ticket for a while (the one with the Puzzle Boxes). However, now I'm wondering if there's a good trick to it at all. I have a Japanese 3DS (that doesn't have the game) and a friend I see approximately once every two weeks (that does have the game) for consistent, reliable passes. Both the same color. In theory I guess I could also set up my old US, non-new 3DS again enough to pass as well.

Any good trick/plan to use these resources to get puzzle boxes? Or am I just stuck waiting for the next time I go to a con or something and hoping for the best. (Also still missing the grindy ones, IE the 100 peaceful meetings and 300 attacks from Warrior Way, as well as all the titles from Mii Force).

Homepass w/a flashed router. I have as many passes as I can process.

But that doesn't really answer his actual question, which requires more than just sheer numbers of passes.

Puzzle boxes are given to you upon meeting other Miis within rooms you create. The logic behind these encounters is something like:

1) If the Mii you encounter also has Monster Manor, you will be asked if you would like to team up. If you decline the teamup, you will be given a random item from that person's inventory. If the person does NOT have Monster Manor, you are usually given gems.
2) If you have tagged that person two or more times, the person will offer you a puzzle box. If the person has Monster Manor, a puzzle box that person has completed will be offered to you, with their completion time as your target time. If the person does NOT have Monster Manor, a puzzle box you have not yet completed will be offered, with the default target time.

So the most efficient means to collect puzzle boxes for someone with a second 3DS without the game is to set up multiple encounters with that second 3DS's Mii. This usually involves building up a large queue (I just used play coins to hire randoms if I was not in an area where I was receiving passes regularly), dropping the second Mii's piece first so it is free for encounters, then using the rest of the queue to create rooms to try to start an encounter (larger rooms are better).

That was my last Monster Manor ticket too. A tricky one since you can't predict what box you're getting. I just brought my 3DS with me everywhere and got the last puzzle box after two months of desperation. EBGames/Best Buy/McDonalds did the trick.

Do you guys know a website that tells you what specific flower gives you a gold medal for the job in flower town?

I tried Google, found the Nintendo wikia, but it doesn't have any of that.

Okay, cool. I think this feels a little more helpful than the info I've been able to find elsewhere. So the plan should be: get mii tag from second and third 3ds, fill up the rest of the queue with random hires, dump my other 3DS miis first, and then focus on building rooms with the rest? And aim for bigger rooms (and it doesn't matter if the new pieces are building off the ones from the initial miis, yeah?) Plain old expansion is fine unlike with the treasure chests, too, right?. Okay, that sounds doable, thanks.

Although it's somewhat misleading (e.g. Welcome Home's gold medal requirement "[Not tall]" should definitely read SHORT instead), I use the GameFAQs job list daily. It has practically become my homepage by now.

I have yet to get a gold medal on In Loving Memory and A Dude's Wish. Can't believe it was easier getting a Tall Birthday Blossom.

If we're ever in the same area, I have at least 6 short Squirrel's Ear seeds ready to go if you need me to grow one. I just continued breeding it once I finally got it.

The new rooms don't need to be connected for the already-placed Miis to show up. But do note that you're better off expanding an existing room than creating a new one when possible simply because a new room has a high likelihood of having an Interdimensional Orb while a room that already has one won't pop a second one.

My general strategy (without spending play coins) was to place pieces from people who I couldn't make rooms with first, that way they have a chance to show up in every room that I made. It went very, very slowly before I set up Homepass.

Welp.....all my StreetPass data has been deleted. I still have all my tagged Mii's but the progress of all 6 games has now restarted.

Fucking bullshit. I had the longest error message this year with trying to open Mii Plaza with the error screen "An error has occured. Hold down the POWER Button to turn off the power, then turn it on and try again." It wasn't until I deleted the two Mii Plaza stuff under Settings -> Data Management -> Downloadable Content that Mii Plaza finally opened up...

...with a price. Goodbye Mii Plaza. It's not worth restarting. :cries:

Edit: Puzzle Swap and Find Mii data has been restored thanks to a SpotPass puzzle update. Alas, the paid games have gone back to zero. I can't even access my garden yet because I haven't planted my "first" plant yet. Although for some reason, it kept track of the Mii Plaza ticket accomplishments I've already collected.

Hmm, I guess that would be to stop you buying one game and erasing the progress to be able to get all the hats without buying all the games or having an easy way by farming certain tickets (like the Streetpass Squad/Mii Force beat stages ones).

One thing I do dislike about the 3DS OS is how it doesn't distinctly make clear what is save data and what is game data and how these work when extra data is used for additional save info like appears to have happened here.
