3DS Streetpass Experiences

My only remaining tickets are a random Gold Chest ticket for Monster Manor (am on floor 46 now, will I have space to make large rooms coming up?) and the 2 Battle & Greet Monarch ones in Warrior's Way.

Warrior's Way's 2 crap tickets stink. Am at 276 'streak' now, so the Battle one is almost there. Don't even know of a way to track the Greet ones after that, but sure will be boring.
 
I'm looking forward to being able to hide Warrior's Way, Mansion amd Mii Force. Having got all the tickets for those, I don't intend on ever touching them again. Even though I have all the tickets for Flower Town, those unfinished missions and the fact I don't have all the colours is really niggling me. My streetpass action has diminished severely since the Cloud hotspot in my pub stopped working as a relay, but I will certainly have a crack at the new games. They look great.
 
When i updated my mii plaza to buy the 2 newest games i ended up losing all my progress in warriors way, weirdly it was the only game that the save was wiped from everything else seemed to have stayed ok, no idea why it decided to choose that game to wipe.

Finally finished streetpass zombie and now hard at work on the fishing game, the islands take aaaaages to clear as it's all down to the colours you streetpass so some islands can't be done if you get a crap selection of bait. There seems to be fish that have no indication of what bait attracts them, still trying to work those out, it is very handy though before you choose an island that you can see what bait each fish likes so you can compair it to what you have with you. Pointless going somewhere if you have no matching bait.

Seem to be getting the gold premium ticket each time too, no idea why it appears. Weither it's related to getting the vip room upgrade or it's something related just to the fishing game itself, it is handy though as it allows access to extra islands with harder to get secret fish.

Got super lucky on the birthday feature got someone born on a leap year, didn't expect to see that one appear too often.
 
I managed to beat Mii Force Arcade Mode yesterday so I now have all the tickets until the update hits. I'm saving my last 3 tickets for new hats though. I also realized I was missing 4 hats from Find Mii 2 so I'm going back through for those.

The new rooms don't need to be connected for the already-placed Miis to show up. But do note that you're better off expanding an existing room than creating a new one when possible simply because a new room has a high likelihood of having an Interdimensional Orb while a room that already has one won't pop a second one.

My general strategy (without spending play coins) was to place pieces from people who I couldn't make rooms with first, that way they have a chance to show up in every room that I made. It went very, very slowly before I set up Homepass.

Awesome, thanks. I'm doing pretty okay with this now and definitely have a strategy down. One more quick question, though: do floors matter in all this? Like, since I restarted, I'm still near the beginning and space is at a premium, so if I'm still looking for the stairs, is it okay to lay down my Mii piece and then move to a new floor once I find the stairs. Or do they only "wander around" the floor you place them on?

Edit: Found out the answer to my own question, and that's that changing floors is no problem. Good to know.
 
Finally finished Flower Town. All gold medals, all colours. I'm holding a Tall Birthday Blossom to give other players a chance to finish The Last Job.

The last job for which I received a gold medal was In Loving Memory. I had to spend over 200 play coins to get a short Alabaster Morris seed.

I tried Mii Force arcade mode (hard mode) since that is the very last thing I haven't done in Streetpass games. I made it to 2-1 and died when I had almost killed the boss. It's the last time I'm playing this. I doubt I'll buy the next Streetpass games. They're coming out with new ones as soon as I (almost) 100% the first batch...

Guys, my plaza is kind of messed up: I miss a bunch of special Miis from Year of Luigi and a good slice of my first encountered Miis ever appear as invited from multiplayer (no profile, only an incorrect age). What's up with that?

I never had the Mii-import setting active. So really the plaza just blanks out the queue tail of Miis... It seems it can hold only that many Mii profiles (maybe 1k?).

And Shiggy, Aonuma and the like just got deleted, what a bummer. I should have moved them to Mii Maker.

Yeah, unfortunately once you hit 1000 Population every new StreetPass will bump the oldest Mii to "invited" status, or in the case of gold pants Miis, delete them (WHY NINTENDO, WHY?)
 
Just one of the reasons I'm going to get the VIP Ticket next week, so I can save my favorite Miis and all the special Miis. It really shouldn't cost to get that functionality though.
 
JP 3DS finally got the second Monster Hunter (4G) puzzle tonight. I already finished it on the NA 3DS, so it should just take a week or two to get it all finished even if I don't encounter anyone this month.

new outfits in the ticket shop. Still seeing how incomplete the message box list and doing some maths makes me think VIP room will be needed if you want all of those.
 
The new games coming out on Thursday will be perfect timing since I'll be leaving for vacation on Friday. 10 days on the gulf coast of FL. Looking forward to it.

You are correct, the vip room is not strictly needed in itself but you get the birthday function with it and that has 22 tickets to unlock. Birthdays adds a bit more fun when passing as it's like playing bingo.
 
The extra abundance of tickets is to buy the new message frames that you can use. When you pass someone you can now have a nice fancy frame around your message greeting box. I'm mainly using them though to unlock the hats i want, as i really cant be bothered doing every last thing in each game to get every single ticket.
 
Can the new hats and frames only be bought with tickets from the new Streetpass games, or will I be able to use the tickets I've got saved up already to buy the new hats?

You can use the tickets from any of the games both old and new, it makes no difference.
 
Got my eShop card ready for tomorrow! Figured I should get a head start on those games, since I was almost a year late with the other ones.
 
I could have really done with the new games last year when I was getting 18+ passes a day.

I pass zero relays on my way to work now, so I'm reliant on a handful of actual humans.

Can anyone with an updated JP 3DS elaborate on what the hall of fame feature does? Is it just a more user-friendly way of deleting a certain game from your plaza if you don't care about playing it anymore? Because if so, I definitely plan on doing this with the first four DLC games since I'm pretty sure I never want to play them again, but would rather not completely delete them.
 
I don't really have the language skills to tell you but I can say that a medal appeared over my Find Mii icon that seems to indicate that I've completed the game. I honestly can't remember if I ran through it enough times on my JP 3DS to get every last hat, though I did at least unlock all the doors in Find Mii 2 including secret quest.
 
Go into plaza this morning to clear out JP tag. Exit. It turns blue! And it's just telling me about International Streetpass Week.

Way to disappoint me Nintendo! I leave for the airport in under two hours! I need my update!

Oh and you know to pack.
 
expect the update in around 4 hours at 10AM PST... or so that's what a lot of people are thinking. Earlier would be nice, but if it didn't happen at midnight then it's probably not until then.

Bah, that's rather low. I still have 6 tickets left over because I only wanted the gaming & console related ones. I already plan on getting Splatoon & Wii U hats.

hat, I was hoping for that.

I sure hope VIP Room isn't required to get some hats. I don't really have interest in it after charging $5 & not offering it as part of a bundle (seriously, couldn't do VIP + 2 new SP games for $12 or something?)
 
The last time they updated the Plaza to include new games it hit NA around 4:30PM PST... so yeah... I hope we don't have to wait that long.

I'll be buying everything, including the VIP Room. I'm not about to miss out on any features, especially if it's only 4.99. To me it's worth it.
 
I'm hoping they're out at 9 a.m. PST/Noon EST, which is when the eShop updates today.

At the very least, I have 5 miis waiting, & I should have a few more later in the day. Wanna go into the new games with a decent head start.

I just cleared out my plaza earlier. I should be able to get at least 5 more hits on my way home... but I have 300 coins so i'm ready and roaring to go
 
Going with the game-themed hats, I wouldn't mind a Game & Watch "hat" of one of the games.

.....or if you want to be really silly/obscure, the Game Boy Printer. I still laugh when ever I use the Virtual Boy "hat".

Game-themed hats are cool, but I wouldn't mind a Reggie hat either. -edit: Or a gigantic Ridley hat.
