It seems like the "old" 4 DLC games got an Update aswell? (at least it just told me they did)
I guess it's the little star next to the game, when you unlocked everything in it.
edit: looks like you can't buy the new stuff yet. The bunny's telling me he can't contact the "main office" right now...

It likely does.
It's currently 7:24 AM in the West Coast where Nintendo HQ is located. Which is why updates are often so late in the day for people on the East Coast or in the Midwest.

Had to update several things before buying the new games, can't wait to play Streetpass Zombies. Time to visit a Game and get some hits...

I had the option to purchase a "Thank you Pack" because I bought the pack with all the DLC 2 years ago. Not sure if it's even cheaper than the normal bundle - It was CHF 9.80 instead of 7.00+7.00

I had a day cycle that had the following speech bubbles:
Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong, Pikmin, Animal Crossing
Not sure if it will be today or tomorrow, but definitely have 4 tickets saved for it.

Uhm the VIP Mii plaza thingie says the Birthday app has about 22 Plaza Tickets... wooow- and real rubbish one's too. like collect a birthday for every day in January in your VIP lounge. Doesn't that kill the purpose of the Mii VIP Lounge?

After updating it went straight to the fucking gate. I'll enjoy my queue of 3...not.
Aside from that disappointed no new maps were added to StreetPass Map. Places like Russia, Turkey and Ireland have loads of sub regions but you wouldn't know that from the "no map" that shows up.
Now had it been VIP room that was heavily discounted I might have looked at that one (especially as it sounds like a free update rather than a €5 one) rather this this which is a purchase I was going to make anyway so I'll enjoy the €1 saving.

I think it means the lounge only has 69 slots instead of 100 when you're going for that ticket I guess (you can move them out once done).

They didn't add any new maps, fix the accomplishments or tidy up the music player

OMG, YOU CAN FINALLY FAST-FORWARD HOLDING L. It was a huge pain holding R & selecting stuff since I'm right handed.

Edit: Okay, Game Vault is a nice feature. Basically, puts the games you don't want to play anymore away so you don't get told HEY YOU STILL NEED TO PLAY THIS.

What the hell, so you can only hold L to fast-forward on the plaza, NOT IN THE GAMES THEMSELVES....
Also a medal appears showing you complete that particular game. Just completed it, not got all the plaza tickets.
Seems 4 different speech bubbles are part of the daily line-up now.

Oh cool, so Battleground Z actually makes use of whatever you set as your hobby, i.e if your hobby is cooking, the weapon you'll get is a frying pan.
So Wiimote = hobby is gaming.

In the settings you can re-arrange the game icons on the bottom screen now (so no having to hit the down arrow to quickly reach the new games) and the order the games except...Puzzle Swap and StreetPass Quest are always first in the games section on the top screen which is a bit odd.
From what I remember a completed Puzzle Swap, StreetPass Quest and StreePass Mansion never nagged you before so it is more helpful for the other games really plus I like having a nag buffer for times when I have play coins to spend but not a plaza queue to use so I probably won't be using the vault.
When I booted up fishing without a sub region set it made a big deal about it and set one for me. Maybe this has some game play effect. I'll see if the wikis know anything.

Did you stop at the fake ending or did you keep going for the real ending?
Inviting people in the fishing game costs 2 Play Coins, as usual. Bait is color-coded as well.
I like the option of skipping certain scenes instead of having to speed through them. Not to mention getting as many random people as you can instead of slowly buying them one by one.
More fish ya catch, the higher your rank goes, which unlocks more places to fish.
Any fish you catch can be put into a tank & you can buy more tanks and things to decorate it with (think Flower Town) via in-game currency. You can also complete challenges for new rewards, like fishing poles, money, & plaza tickets.
You also have to be careful with rods, as you can upgrade them or combine two to make a new one, but there's only so many times you can do so, so you have to choose wisely what you want ti improve.
I think I'll like this. It'll be like Flower Town where it takes a while, but the curiosity of what I can catch will keep me going, along with unlocking the challenges.

Currently clearing the special islands for fishing now the main ones have been completed. Once you get several 3 star rods the game becomes pretty interesting with combining them, trying to slowly bring those 6 upgrade slots from certain lower rods by combining them with stronger ones. For a simple fishing game there's quite a bit of strategy especially as some rods you find can have extra skilly buil into them but they don't crop up too often.
