3DS Streetpass Experiences

Does anyone know the exact condition of getting those gold tickets as i get them every single time i streetpass. I know you can buy them with play coins but i have a funny feeling that they might be linked to buying the vip room stuff as i seem to get them every single time i sometimes even get the silver ones popping up in my queues.
 
That could explain it then as my homepass gets about 90% miis from america and a few local uk ones and a tiny amount from Japan and europe.
 
NOE let the contract expire with The Cloud so all those hotspots don't work as relays from the time being. That affects the UK somewhat and Sweden greatly. Makes me wonder if something similar happened in France given how the NOE map of Nintendo Zones is literally empty for France.

One pass only.

Now a few months ago when Americans were getting Honest Abe sent out via spotpass (any spotpass including your own home not go to fucking GAME) someone found out that if you delete the special mii then disable spotpass from the plaza (disabling streetpass does this) you can receive them again when you re-enable streetpass and spotpass for Mii plaza (bear in mind the can't streetpass relay issues of with the game in the top left slot on streetpass management on old 3DS systems which the plaza will become when doing this).

I guess you can also send the special Mii to the Mii maker as that also deletes them (why does Nintendo hate special Miis so much, they deleted instead of demoted to met by invitation as well).

Speaking of special Miis they seem kind of well, ordinary in the new games. I didn't notice their bait being special in fishing. In Zombies they count as another owner of the game so you can team up with them.
 
I will never beat the back alley stage of the Zombie game

I've died every attempt in the same exact spot to the same exact group. Charge attacks are way too slow to help me. By the time I charge they are on me and I'm dead.

Seriously this is the dumbest fucking thing ever and I already hate this game.

edit: beat it by just spamming charge attacks. lol
 
I have my everyday streetpasses who are people who live in my apartment, the deepest it got was shouting mgs quotes at each other.

The second group would be my university and classes, I have connected with classmates with it and we all would sit in the back and talk about MH than pay attention.

The final group of people I meet would be gaming lans. Usually these are the best because we trash talk each other and have good fun.

Interesting. Explains the general reduction in passes I have experienced. I still managed to get a full queue today, so I need to work out what's still out there.
 
I think I accidentally started a new Mii Quest II 'normal' quest when I should have started a 'secret' quest and now I feel screwed ;(

I don't want to finish the entire quest... is there a way I can back out and start a new secret quest instead

I'm trying to get all of the hats! When I press "X" in my current quest i'm seeing none of the new icons that supposedly should show where hats you need are... I think I already got them all from the regular quest. Been many months since I Played it.
 
Went out and got tags for streetpass weekend

Cleared the first island in fishing and the first little world in zombies.

Working on 100% fish catching in the first island right now.

I think I'm going to try my hand more at fishing in Fantasy Life. It's somewhat similar to this and is just a small part of the fun in that game.

I wish I had more tickets :( I assume when you get all of the ticket achievement AND in-game challenges, then you are able to get all hats and bubbles? I'm saving the bubbles till last.
 
I have 13 tickets lol

I'm saving them for Nintendo related hats/outfits first.

Don't give no fucks about some of the costumes or many of the bubbles.
 
I bought the yoshi hat... I agree, i'm going for nintendo character hats first and i'll fill in the rest later

i'm still wearing the zombie hat though because it's awesome.
 
Yeah, I went for Nintendo-themed hats first. Still have two tickets left, wanna see what I get tomorrow & on Monday (I think then it loops again). If there's nothing else, maybe I'll get a few bubbles.
 
Got close to 30 just from bringing it to college just 4-5 days, plus the bus ride back. A few of them levelled up due to meeting them more than once.

Was actually surprised how many people have them.
 
I got all excited earlier thinking Yay I can use my ten new Miis on the fishing game.

Went to one of the islands, used four pieces of bait to catch four fish, came back off that island to go to the next one with my other six Miis. Nope, apparently you can only use today's Miis for just one island at a time. Lame.

This might be a dumb question, but does the screenshot size differ depending on the model? I've taken some Smash and Flower Town shots on the original 3DS, and I get 240x400 images on my SD card.
 
On Friday, I went to the Zelda concert in London. I think I racked up around 300 streetpass hits (I went from around 1400 to 1700 in total). It's a big jump from the first concert in October 2011, where I got around 150 (which is perhaps even more impressive given 3DS LTD sales at the time).

Wait a minute... I thought you could only streetpass ten people at a time? Did they remove that limit?

And how was the Zelda concert? I'm going in October - can't wait!

Hmm, I'm not sure but maybe that's possible? The ones taken from the N3DS are 800x480 resolution.

Good to know, I'll have to test that out when I get my n3DS. OMG Aero's screenshot looks pretty good, I think.

Anyway, back to StreetPasses, I couldn't have timed my apartment renovations better -- I'll racking up those Home Depot SteetPasses. Little will they know that the guy buying brackets, clear coat, and a belt sander is actually really stoked about collecting cartoon characters to help him catch video game fish.
 
Bought the two new StreetPass games and I'm really enjoying the Fishing one a lot. It has depth to it similar to the Flower garden one plus a mix of the Mansion's combining of upgrading fishing rods and I'm digging the controls.

The Zombie one is solid and scratches the beat em up game itch although the one hit kill zombie dogs in later levels sounds annoying without several travel hobby Mii's.

Still need to take advantage of International StreetPass weekend. I'll probably end up passing by a few Starbucks tomorrow and a Best Buy.
 
Aw yeah managed to fish out the
giant octopus boss from one of the legend islands
was a beast to reel in even with my kickass upgraded rod.

Only 3 islands left and i'll have beaten them all, the post game is just as fun.

The best DIY project i have done, this thing has been invaluable to get passes. Yeah it's cheating to some but it has helped me get more enjoyment out of my streetpass games than i ever would have if i had tried in vain to find people in town to pass, oh home relay how i love you.

so I just need to wait for the Streetpasses to come up? - is that it?
 
I've been to a couple of McDonald's that I know have Nintendo Zones but my 3DS doesn't seem to register them as such. Is anyone else having this issue? :(

It might just be those McDonald's. Sometimes my local one's zone is offline, and the next time I visit it'll be back online. Home Depot is still my go-to place for passes, especially since we're working on weekend projects and always forget something or other that requires a trip back to the store. With its two zones I can grab 20 passes each time I visit.
