3DS Streetpass Experiences

Just got a 3ds XL, dumb question.

Where the hell do I go to check street passes/the dungeon and puzzle games I've heard about that involve them?

The top level UI on this thing is a bit of a mess IMO.

Streak of consecutive days snapped.

Yep, it's a bummer.

I always get 3 passes twice a day (there are 4 3DS around), but in the last few days, one of the handhelds (it changes, it's never the same one) skips the pass and instead of every 8 hours, I have to wait from 15 to +20 hours for the streetpass to activate again (the plazas aren't full or near 10 people).
I see no logic and I found nothing online about the issue.

EU here. Just got a puzzle swap notification.

Don't know if it is a new puzzle or not as I ended up with the Heroines puzzle. Also the two Miis I had in the queue (I'm near maxed on play coins so needed to enter the plaza soon anyway) one of them had not a single pink piece but nearly all the puzzles started did they miss the invited Miis or just really mess up on them...the other I guess passed the invited Miis but only picked the default pink piece (middle left first etc).

I'm from the UK (Glasgow) I've got no pink pieces on the new puzzles I have (skyward sword, xenoblade, heroines and Super Luigi); the invited Miis all came to me during E3 and got used up before this puzzle update arrived so maybe that other person is the same?

I've not seen any pink pieces from any of the people I've StreetPassed since getting them yet either.

I am really enjoying StreetPass Squad though. It's great!

You're right, there is a new one spreading. It's not new for people with US or JP systems though. It's
Dillon's Rolling Western
.

I heard the new Streetpass games were AUD$6.50 in Australia which makes it cheaper than UK/Europe currently (provided your card does not charge high fee for foreign transactions or auto block). This reminds I should check the New Zealand and Russian prices too. Lower prices might sway my decision a bit.

My point was they might have gotten the E3 Miis and then not chosen the pick pieces for some crazy reason. But I guess it is more likely the missed the 12 hour window for the E3 Miis.

This reminds me. why do some people have a greater number of Miis in the plaza than streetpass hits, is this to do with invited Miis from playing Mario Kart online or something?

Oh, you mean they didn't have a pink piece for any puzzle, not just the new ones? That is odd. Maybe they didn't know or care that you can't get them with coins? I dunno.

And yeah, I always assumed those folk with high numbers of Mii characters in their plaza must just play Mario Kart online too.

Did you get the notification before when they added the four new puzzles with the Plaza DLC update and they've sent out another update?
Edit: Nevermind I just got the notification myself and got a piece of the Xenoblade puzzle :D

I turned off invited Mii once I hit 1000 Miis in the plaza. Now I'm slowly deleting them from the browser so one day the two numbers will be closer together. MK7 gives you a ridiculous amount.

With the update they have shoved the invite Miis to the top which means I have to scroll all the way up to delete one and then it returns you to the bottom again. Wish you could mass delete.

Do invite miis count towards your total in the Streetpass Battle/Conquest game?

You can't use them in any of the games. They literally just count towards the plazas population.
Streetpass Battle relies entirely on the Plaza population so I think they do count, otherwise my army wouldn't have been so big when I started that game.

I just found out something that has been added to the Mii Plaza. Australia now has a map (I'm fairly sure it did not have one before the update). Finland and Denmark are still lacking one though.

As for how the Russian prices are for the Streetpass games. 199 RUB or 599 RUB for bundle so a few pence more than Australia. Also South Africa finally has an eShop with games in it (last I checked they had Swapnote and that was it) and the bundle there is 180 ZAR so a few pence less than Australia.

Oh, I got mixed up with Quest. I haven't tried the new DLC games yet. Was waiting for opinions on GAF first before I dive in on the buy three get one free deal.

Mostly crap aside from Mansion. When I get single StreetPasses now, I just use them for Puzzle, Quest II and Mansion. The others are bogged down with endless tutorial text and it's such a chore getting in and out.

What?! Streetpass Squad is easily the best game in the Plaza...

Yeah, I'm all about StreetPass squad. The only one I haven't taken to yet is Garden, but that just appears to be opening up more for me now, so it may hook me later. Mansion is great fun too, mind.

'Garden' is the only one I don't like, but I can see others enjoying it because it has the most options and the presentation is very nice. Growing flowers just isn't very appealing to me.

The other 3 are great fun and all of them feel unique enough to be worth the price. My only problem is that you can't skip the dialogue (though fast-forwarding with R still works) and it takes a lot longer to clear out your cue with 6 games now.

Squad is my least favourite so far, but I'm still awaiting a big haul of passes to make significant progress with any of the games.

Finally got round to buying Mansion. Garden and Battle.

Also got a nifty Sheik hat.

One of my neighbours daughters just recently got a 3DS so I've been getting pretty much daily 'street' passes with her. Really helping with Street pass quest as I'd never had a repeat street pass so all my guys were level 1 and I had to mainly resort to using cats.

Had a lot yesterday though, bunch of them using Animal Crossing but only 3 had the home sharing stuff.

I really like the new games.
Garden was kinda boring at first but opens up the more you play so that's cool.
Squad is great though kinda sucks for me as my neighbour is pink so it has the pink goo weapon. Would prefer the flame or wave.
Mansion is alright. Wish you got more panels per pass.
Battle is pretty cool though is just a glorified rock paper scissors game. I only get 1 troop per street pass with the neighbour kid which sucks though yesterday I went to Cardiff and got a nice amount of troops from the passes there and my Castle is rank 4 now so I can buy 750 troops for 15 coins.

Wish we could get more coins daily though.

Maybe there's something wrong with my streetpassery. Or else I have been unlucky enough to run into three people who have game-streetpasses but no Miis to transfer.

sometimes it seems like the datatransfer is not 100percent up to snuff and it feels like the Mii-Plaza data had grown quite a bit.

I met the same Mii twice, but the 2nd time they were registered as a seperate Mii; what is that about?

Maybe it's a new Mii they created that's very similar to the previous one?

This can happen if they lost their 3DS data, for example (this happened to me). Or maybe they accidentally deleted their Mii?

disappointed to find out that the eighth block on the bottom screen in new Mii Plaza is the "go to entrance" arrow, was (foolishly) hoping it would be an unlockable Quest III or something. on the bright side got 5 tags today, Streetpass Squad really is excellent.

Darn, is that what it is?

I was wondering what it was too : (

Got on a bus yesterday, guy beside me is playing Animal Crossing, I'm playing DKC Returns, our green lights blink and we look up and give each other a small nod

awesome

I am liking that you can get streetpasses now during gameplay [when the 3DS is open]. Looks like it's game dependent, though.

Finished the
heroine
puzzle yesterday, and should finish the
Xenosaga
puzzle today.
Skyward Sword
and
Mario U
about half done.

Streetpass was definitely made for long Tokyo commutes.

Since I transferred all of my data to my new 3DS XL, I used my old 3DS to play Find Mii again. I'm currently at the Ultimate Ghost right now, and I'm only getting Pink Pieces via Puzzle Swap.

Apparently, almost no one at my college has a 3DS or carries it around with them (except for one other dude).
Tried earlier in the year and got nothing. Tried it during the summer and finally got one.

I'm curious why did it take Nintendo of America long time to implement new games for Mii Plaza.

Seriously, I felt that American is bottom of the totem pole for Nintendo nowadays.

anyone can explain why this happens?

I brought my 3DS XL and my brother's 3DS out (both tucked in my backpack)
Brother's 3DS (more often than not) collects more Streetpasses than me.

At Disney World with a friend and had that happen.

The only thing I can figure is that he walked ahead of me a couple steps a majority of the time so it would get his but not mine. Then on a day where I walked a couple steps ahead I got more.

With being in the same bag, I'd imagine it has to do with whichever system gets hit first. It seems really finicky to me regardless. We were eating at a place and he got a tag and I didn't. Just seems random :(

No idea.
I was at one of Nintendo's Best BUy E3 events and brought my mom's 3DS XL with me to get her some tags.
She got 8 tags and I only got 1, but still got tag stuff for games.
Sucks 'cause I saw the other guys getting my Mii in their plaza. :(

Maybe Streetpass has an odd bug when if it receives a Mii while sending one it thinks the Mii has been sent so does not try to send it. I don't know if I explained that clearly.

I guess they are working out what to call the games. Remember that Streetpass quest is Find Mii over there. If it turns out to be:
-Blast Mii
-Plant Mii
-Conquer Mii
-Haunt Mii
Then it was time well spent.
