Just obtained the album Sound of Silence. Amazing album, very catchy and the title track is absolutely beautiful.

My only problem lies with the fact that the sound quality on the CD is muffled and quite shitty... but it is 1965 so I have to give it a break.

Woot, Simon and Garfunkel. What album should I buy next?

Buy Bookends next. It's their best album...if you can overlook the fact that "Mrs. Robinson" is on it.

"At The Zoo" is an overlooked gem, and "A Hazy Shade Of Winter" also rocks. I played it for a friend one time, and they said, "Who is covering that Bangles song?" I was nearly violent.

goddamit, Griese!
they indeed are great. i prefer old friends live to central park, but you can't really go wrong.

get the dvd, too. i'm not too big on concert dvds, but S&G's is an exception.

I remember a simon and garfunkel appreciation thread a while back but I thought I would say it again. This is perhaps one of the greatest partnerhips in the history of music. Everything they sing has a beauty to it.
