You adjust to the 4:3, it's a beautiful looking film.

I got it but I don't have the sound system to say.Who's got Top Gun on 4k? I bet the soundtrack shakes your home theater.
Hmm, I normally despise steel books but I may need to make an exception. The Howling 40th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray Collector's Edition

How is Justice League Snyder's Cut?
It's not good, but undeniably an improvement on the complete messes that are Batman v Superman & Whedon's Justice League.
Original release is unwatchable. Snyder’s cut is just bad.How is Justice League Snyder's Cut? I pre-ordered the steelbook version, but never saw it or the original release either.
I'm not huge into DC, so not sure if I should keep or cancel.
It's kind of a direct continuation of BvS though. Complete with opening the movie with Superman screaming in agony for five minutes.
Which collection is this and where can I find it?
New buys this week
It’s the Criterion Showa set. Wait for the yearly 50% sale.Which collection is this and where can I find it?

None yet.Any new special features on that Dead and loving it disc?
Im usually like the biggest shill for lord of the rings collections, but this seems like a waste. I already own the blu ray collection with all the appendices, and i bought the 2 4k collections last year for that pristine iq. I feel like they should have put this out first? Then maybe more people would give a rats ass$250. Only new special features are the Cannes reel from 2001 and the Alamo cast reunion. No appendices. Exact same discs as last year.
I don't really have the space or funds to do anything special. I'm just rocking a Sony UBP-X800 and a Sony un49mu8000.Did some people Post their setup? Do we have a thread? I disassemled mine and will take a while until i can rebuild. Would love to get some ideas.
Also does anyone run a full active Set?
Too bad the 4K disc is...Terminator 2 4K is getting a Best Buy steelbook release.
And only the theatrical cut.Too bad the 4K disc is...
Sadly, 4K can also mean just upscaled from blu-ray. Manufacturers should say if the it's remastered from the original source or not.I finally watched my 4K UHD copy of the final Bourne movie, and man what a poor master. Most of the time I wasn't even sold that it was actually 4K. It looked very much like a game with a really low native resolution that is then checkerboard-rendered up to 4K.
Probably all that Greengrass shaky cam. "You don't want to see this stunt and action, you just want to see this camera shake in the general direction of the plot."I finally watched my 4K UHD copy of the final Bourne movie, and man what a poor master. After a repeat viewing of the trilogy I cooled on it a tad as well. Weirdly I ended up liking BVS a bit more than previously and the snyder cut a bit less.I got the Snyder Cut 4K and watched the movie again. I cooled on it a bit. I think my extremely low expectations going into the initial viewing gave it a boost up.
There’s actually still a lot I enjoy. The epic scale that no one else is matching in quite the same way, and I actually dig the way Zack incorporates music into his visuals. So there is a lot to enjoy on an audio/visual level. It says something that I have stuck through this movie more than once.
but there are so many bits I wish I could just cut. Goofy, cornball lines and shots all over the place.
And while I was one of the few who was actually excited when Affleck was cast as Batman, and enjoyed his performance in BvS, the more time goes on, the less I appreciate it. There’s just a lack of humanity there. Some will say it’s part of the performance but I think it’s more wooden and shallow. Batman doesn’t really incorporate himself well into this version of the Justice League. He feels out of place, with the gadgets and vehicles feeling like some kind of overcompensation/justification.
shoutout to Wonder Woman though. I enjoy all of her acenes and thought Gal was pretty good in some of them.
Same here. I’d love for them to release the original trilogy in 4K, but Disney is dragging their feet with older releases, and something tells me it also has to do with the whole Depp/Heard situation. Hopefully not too much longer.Someone mentioned Pirates of the Caribbean earlier. Any word on those in 4k? I'd love to have the first 3. Everyone after that didn't happen.
