set your posts to 100 per page, then go to the google search top right and type
'defender chronicles' take the first result and then try and find that post on that page.

Now do it with 50 posts per page.

50 posts per page is superior because it is search compatible.

That's a flaw in the built-in Google post search, since Google isn't "logged in" as a user.

100 posts per page is the ONE TRUE NUMBER OF POSTS PER PAGE. Unbelievers will be burned at the stake!

download a browser plugin for endless page browsing than, sweetcheeks.

Or he can turn on 100 posts per page and not deal with searching for posts considering the search options suck.

(100 > 50)

(100 > 50)

Infinite + search > 100 - search

It's simple math.

Used to have GAF+ and 100 posts per page.

Then I got an ipad.

50 posts per page means its more likely to load all of the images (although I still have to avoid some of the very image rich threads), and if the page is reloaded I have less distance to scroll to where I was on the page.

Unless they changed their mind, real search is eventually coming back.

I'm not downgrading post count just because they had to implement google search for a spell.

Divide the page number you get in the url by half. Done.

If I was serious about GAF I might consider changing it to 100ppp, but then I'd be admitting to myself that I'm serious about GAF.

50 > 500 > 100

That is: 50 posts per page means more page loads means more ad impressions means more rupies for GAF means more upgraded hardware means fewer 500 errors.

Stop being so fucking selfish. ;P

Although it's true that thing in the OP happens, I don't personally ever feel the need to google any particular post, and if I did I'd work around it considering it'd be a rare event. 50 post per page is for peasants.

Using an allowed feature is being selfish? I thought using ad-block was.

By your logic 1>50>100.

They upgraded their servers and there hasn't been 500 errors or down time during big events for a long time.

If it's set to 50 then technically you're loading more info each page since it has to load twice as many adverts. :p

My sarcasm is too subtle. Its late (early) for me. Time for dreams.
I don't see any sarcasm in that post even after your claim.

They WOULD benefit from the ads more if everyone was 50. It just can't be selfish since it's condoned.

Wait, so if google works on fifty page format, then why not look for the right page using th page number. Would it not be double or half the number? <<<< shows how often I search for stuff.... I only ever search for stories that may already be old or duplicated....

I'll be honest that as a mod I frequently prefer 50 posts per page because it's far easier to patrol a topic in bite sized chunks than in massive page form, with the added load speed it's the obvious choice for me right now.

If I wasn't a mod I'd do 100 posts per page
