Yeah the search thing is annoying but I figured it out pretty quickly and now just divide whichever page number is gives me by two. But anyone intelligent enough to use 100 posts per page would be able to handle that.

A thread full with amazing posts with several paragraphs should be read with 50pp, just like you wouldn't read a book that's 5x longer than it's width.

Ah who am I kidding, 1 line posts are everywhere nowadays. It's all your fault 100pp users!

you 100 page hippies have to perform maths in the form of division followed by more followup maths in the form of rounding to get your inferior system to work.

It's not even compatible with google and google knows everything. Also, my thread made the second page already, right on.

Google search is inferior to VB search in every single way. I hope they roll it back out soon. I rarely waste my time with google search and I'm not going to hurt my thread browsing experience for the rare times I do use the crap search.

If it's set to 50 then technically you're loading more info each page since it has to load twice as many adverts. :p

So 100'ers are a bunch of slackers who only make GAF half the money?

I'm going to write a google chrome extension that takes page links from google and halves them for 100 page format users.

Actually, maybe I'm not, but someone should.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was sad enough to find pages like that btw.

I will never understand why people prefer 100 ppp. The loading times are longer, searching for specific posts becomes nearly impossible and having a huge ass site isn't exactly a pleasure to read either.

50ppp on the other hand, that's perfect.

There are 70 posts in this thread, and I just glanced at all of them on one page. 100 rules, 50 drools.
So have I, and I use 50. Autopager is the real king; load one page and continuously scroll through a thread without ever hitting 'next page', auto loading the next page seamlessly under the current page.

With autopager enabled, it makes more sense to have it set to 50. If I want to see more, it'll auto load as I scroll down. If I back out of the thread after 10-20 posts, it saves me loading more than I have to.

I much prefer having 50 posts per page--better for keeping track of where I was in a thread when I come back to it seeing as how the "go to last post" function on NeoGAF constantly loses my place.

This is what I always do....surprised OP hasn't discovered this magic

100 PPP users are just naturally smarter. I actually enjoy the challenge of dividing.

100 PPP users also look like this:

I find 50ppp much easier to keep track of. And since I visit the PC image thread, it also saves my connection. Those screenshots are all a meg each.

Oh, and I NeoGAF on the web app too, so it loads better on my tablet.

This thread reminds me of a metric vs American units argument.
well... it's a bit different, cause in that argument there is a clear winner.

Unless it is a "High-Res PC Screenshot Thread" D:
Seriously, that thread made my browser crash several times now.
Stop loading the page as soon as you open it, then just open by post. That's what I do. Beats trying to download EVERYTHING all at once, two at a time is much more manageable.

Why do you insist on being enslaved to a mere 50ppp? What artificial god do you worship? Cast off your shackles, brothers! Join the 100ppp master race!
