5yrs Later and it's still one of my favourite Comic Book Movies of all time, and I consider it the best 3D experience I have had in the Cinema, even if 3D is one of the reasons it failed along with the Marketing

Shame it's not getting a Cinematic Sequel ( though there was the a couple of Comic Sequels) but I am very hopeful for the TV series that is coming.

Happy 5th Anniversary Dredd

Awesome movie. I remember forgetting my ID and not being allowed into the cinema but thankfully a friend was working there that day so she let me in. Good memories.

It doesn't feel like 5 years at all. Time flies. Great movie and hopefully that TV series they're making gets Karl Urban for Dredd and they can make it even better than the movie.

Dredd is right next to The Dark Knight in terms of my favorite hero/comic book movies. It's just an overall fantastic film.

Oh so they're doing a series and not a sequel?

Bummer.

Yeah, better than nothing I think plus Urban may come back to it, they claim it will have the most money spent per episode on british TV, and think of all those hours of Dredd we now will have, and all the Stories they can use.

Early concept Art is looking nice, though it doesn't mean much at this stage.

Seeing this in the theater, in 3D, was a real treat. Tiny but enthusiastic audience.

One of maybe 4 movies I've seen to use 3D right. And the movie itself is ridiculously badass.

It's okay fellow Dredd fans, now that a TV show is in the works we no longer have to overstate the movie's quality in a desperate attempt to build buzz for a sequel. We all know it's good but not great. Time to drop the act now. You may also lower your imdb score down from 10.

Pretty awesome movie, too bad about the sequel not happening. I do kinda wish I didn't see the raid though, it's basically the same movie but with more focus on gritty hand to hand fighting so I think it's the better film.

Dredd did have a cool look to it though

An absolutely masterful film. Urban IS Dredd. I grew up reading twenty AD. I think it was Americans who thought it was just a sequel to the Stallone film.

Great movie. Hope we get a sequel.

I hope it goes in a new direction too. The comic story is kind of whack. I like the way the new movie portrayed the universe.

Really wish we got a sequel. Bought the 4K blu ray even though i have no way of watching it, but when I do it'll be the first film i watch.

So this WAS actually a good movie?

I hate that there are soooo many remakes now a days, which are horrible in comparison to the originals.....and unfortunately I lumped this movie in with the others without doing any research.

Edit- I don't know why I thought Colin Farrell starred in this... I'm so confused right now.

Best comic book movie

Best first post.

It's Criminal we didn't get a sequel, here's hoping for a kick ass no prisoners Tv show.

My friend, drop whatever it is you are currently doing and watch Dredd now. You can thank us later.

It's not a Remake nor Sequel, it's just it's own thing, but really great.

It's pretty good but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I thought the film was pretty mediocre to be honest. I don't understand all this gushing about this film in any way whatsoever. It was okay. And that is about it.

I found the script to be pretty hokey, and never got involved with any of the characters. I hear people say masterpiece and I just laugh and move on.
