December 13th well according to the trailer it's the 13th but IMDb says the 1st so it might be a limited run in the theaters before it hits Netflix or something.

Your headline missed

Ryan Reynolds + Rheese + Wernick
(Deadpool) with Michael Bay Directing.

Action, Explosions everywhere and the plot may be alright.

I like Bays mindless action movies. Transformers movies got on my nerves with each sequel, but all his other movies are always fun. This looks cool. Awesome action, hot women beautifully shot. Mindless fun I don't have to pay for in theathers since I already have netflix anyway.

That explosion with the Humvees at the end looks so goddamn awesome. The whole movie just looks chaotically gorgeous, but that explosion right there... That's high art.

The only Bay movie I hate outside of Transformers 2 and 5 is Pearl Harbour. So a great track record in my mind. I'm just annoyed that I won't get to see the bombastic action in the cinemas.

20 minutes in and I already love it, but I'm a huge Michael Bay fanboy.

He opened up with like a 15 minute car chase replete with absolutely insane stunts and people getting tossed around like ragdolls aplenty. I never stood a chance.

The tone is pretty much Bad Boys-style Bay so far, with a dash of Deadpool (it is written by the writers of the films, after all) so any of you who thought this was taking itself too seriously should know this movie is fucking ridiculous in the best way possible.

Edit: Wait nevermind this shit got ultra serious for a second but it works cause it's actually a pretty intense scene.

Edit 2: This movie deals with some pretty heavy subjects. Some of y'all probably gonna get tonal whiplash from this.

Edit 3: Oh yeah, this is pretty much his take on the superhero(es) origin story.

sold. I'm watching this tonight.

Grace calls it a "mixed bag."

Calling it a mixed bag is probably best case scenario for the uninitiated.

Trying to be impartial about it, some of the edits are too quick, some of the cuts between scenes are nonsensical, and the licensed music isn't really my bag, but by the end of it, none of that mattered much to me cause the rest of the film made up for it.

Fuck, I loved this film. I gotta get drunk and high and see it again.

This film was a massive ball of stupid fun. I enjoyed it and wouldn't mind a sequel. Sure, the editing was overdone in the action scenes but you could still tell what was happening. And unlike Irishman, at least this felt like a 150 million dollar production.

Ryan Reynolds is the gift that keeps on giving.

Michael bay, going full on Bay !!!! And not a robot 🤖 in sight.

ryan Reynolds being the wise cracking audience surrogate.

$150 million of crazy stunts, violent gory deaths and explosions !!!

Was ridiculous, but so funny and entertaining, as only a crazy Michael bay film can be. 👍🙈😂

(plan on watching it again, will make sure my brain has a good book to read that night. )

Boring action bonanza. Turned it off after 15 minutes of meaningless explosions and unnecessary close ups.

If you're a fan of Michael Bay it's for you. It's not for me.

Other than a couple cringey song choices, I thought this was fun as hell.

turn your brain off and be entertained. I respect a film that just has a stylistic idea and goes balls out going for it

Hell, I thought it looked more expensive than Hobbes and Shaw and that one cost 50 million more.

I finally saw it just now... Brought back those 80s action movie vibes that I've been missing!

Hated the jump cut editing style for the few fight scenes but it was awesome!

The movie is so uneven. There are some ridiculously fun and unique action scenes and then there are scenes where you had no idea WTF was going on, where each character was and what they were supposed to do there. The story is also fun and interesting at times but then there's dialogue that is repetitive, lazy and stupid. The movie was fun but it looked like it was directed by two different people and the writing at times was ridiculous.

What I don't understand is why the guy that directed The Rock makes so inconsistent movies nowadays, it makes no sense to me.

It's fucking amazing. Makes no sense but wow is the action great. CGI and practical stunts are blended seamlessly. This film also has a BRUTAL amount of shown death, bodies flying everywhere and random bystander kills galore. Not sure how/why they are doing it that way, but it is definitely a novel element. I'm down for more, even a series with different action directors doing their take on it.

Watched it for about 20 minutes. It was fucking exhausting and shit to be honest. Ryan Reynolds really is a very limited actor.

I only was able to watch the first car chase scene so far, but it already gave me everything I want from a Bay movie. Cool action, people constantly arguing, hot random chicks on the street filmed nicely. xD

Surprised how violent it is, thought it would be pg 13, but people really getting fucked up, popped out eyes being used lol. And I was also surprised to see Dave Franco as part of the team in the opening scene, cause I haven't seen him in the trailers, but I know now why.

Saw this last night. I'd give it 3.5/5 stars for the cool action set-up scenes, overall violent action, and dry humour. It loses points on music, plot and so many visiual cuts at one point that I actually got a headache. It felt like a cut every few seconds for what felt like minutes at a time.

Attractive women, big explosions, lengthy car chases, and unapolagetic violence makes this a decent watch and I wouldn't mind a sequel.

Watched it Friday night. It's one of those movies you throw on and provides good entertainment. It's not gonna win an Oscar, but it's a good action film.

Started watching it, and noped the fuck out 20 min in and rather watched a episode of Dark. Bay seems to have gotten worse over the years. Action sequences seemed well done though.

Finally got around to this one in the ol' quarantine.

What was Michael Bay's cocaine budget for this movie? Jesus. It's borderline experimental, doesn't always come off as entirely necessary in its extreme camera and editing work, but it's pure Bay. Absolutely delivers on action set pieces, especially Florence. The level of destruction is unreal, and props for all the practical blood squibs.

Thumbs up.

I believe it's one of Netflix's most expensive projects. $150M. Money well spent if you ask me, for all the hate Bay gets one things for sure he knows how to blow stuff up on set. :P

Agreed, well worth it, and Bay seems to have creative freedom, no transformers required. Better be a sequel!

Should I wait for the big nice TV at home or is iPad okay?! Explosions huh... I'll wait!

Definitely one for the big TV.

I enjoyed it, I wasn't sure near the start but I got into it after a bit. I'd like to see Bay do another Netflix project but more focused like The Rock or Bad Boys.

The magnet bit was crazy, the freerunning, I liked the girl from Inglorious and some of the choreograohy around the driving scene was great.
