lol the first post I found with me was

"Indrema"

Horrible... Hahaha totally forgot about that crap.

Hahahha, you should have just archived all the sales charts.... Lord knows we had one of those each week.

It's amazing how much my tastes and posting habits have changed in five years at GA, to the point where it's even embarrasing to read my old shit.

Its so odd reading the stuff in the 9/11 thread (which BTW was the first place I found out about the incedent..I was up early getting ready to leave the house and upon seeing the thread immediately turned on the TV)..seeing stuff like "whoever did this signed their own death warrant today" and "I hope this doesn't mean another war" etc.

Who would have thunk that 3+ years later that:

a) the one person you could consider chiefly responsible for the act has not been brought to justice, and, incedentally, his capture is not even top priority in our country

b) we in fact would be at war, only an unprovoked one in a country entirely unresponsible for the attack

If someone would have came from our present and told everyone in that thread where we stand now, the uproar would have been incalculable. It's sad that we so quickly became so far removed from the true sentiment of the days following 9/11.

But Kutaragi isn't standing still. He's already at work on – that's right – PS3, a much stronger and, more significantly, stealthier PlayStation. "PS3 will totally disappear as a console, as a shape," he says. Sony may even cease making boxes altogether and instead sell PlayStation3 chips to other game-machine makers for use in their own units.

Interesting :p

Just think about how much stupid crap you're posting right now and don't realise it.

The saddest thing about that time period is that the US had more international support and consolation then at anytime in it's history, with the possible exception of JFK's assination. And what did Bush do with all that goodwill? Piss it down the toilet with a smirk on his face. It's simply sad.

Couldn't agree more.

Man, I wish I could find the post where I slammed every videogames system (and subtly, the fanboys) with my rant about what was "wrong with gaming." I thought I had it saved, but I don't.

Anyhoo, only saw one of my old posts so far. I'm surprised at how little of these topics I recall (although I recall the posters pretty well).

ah, some things never get old. futami blasting opa in 2000:

It's slightly baffing how someone so devoid of anything remotely charismatic could elicit so much sympathy. I say "slightly" because, given the overwhelming prejudices on this board of the "opa-opa" vein, you begin to see why. You think posting banal and unproven slights against Sony, posing as "honest" and "civil" dialogue about video games , qualifies as "good gaming discussion". You think self righteous posturing by some self-proclaimed authority on videogame purity contributes to healthy discussion? Opa-Opa is an incorrigibly stubborn and ignorant person, not to mention a socially inept freak who seems to have lost the ability to distinguish between reality and fantasy. He contributed nothing to this board, aside from countless threads possessing the sole purpose of inciting flames. I respect the mods for banning him. It was long past due. I would respect them less if he were unbanned, but I won't be so arrogant as to second guess their judgement.
Let him pollute another forum, but don't encourage his return.

:lol :lol :lol

those two are like bread and butter, though. poor love saps.

Futami was truly a pox on this board. When you look at in retrospect it baffles the mind.

The only thing that has changed for me in 5 years is that I don't talk about games anymore.

yea, i was the biggest nintendo knob at ga for quite some time. now, though, i hate talkign about games. and i've switched sides: ms >>>>>>>>> nintendo

:lol Stumbled upon PraiseMe's classic "I finished having sex and my girlfriend is still orgasming 15 minutes later" thread. Great stuff! But where's the Danny Tanner/Michelle "I'd hit it" pic in the olsen twin thread? That was possibly the loudest I ever laughed from an I'd hit it pic the first time it was posted.

oh man, the good ole days...

I even remember getting over 1000 posts then, on the old boards. Now, I don't think I've hit 300 in over a years time.

I blame Superkyro.

When did Sega announce it was going 3rd-party and stopping support for the Dreamcast? I'd like to see that thread!! :lol (unless it's there already and I'm just not seeing it)

I used to have both of these archives bookmarked, but lost the URL's a while back, so I'm glad they've been posted again - I agree that there should be a permanent link to them somewhere on the forum.

Luckily, I've always used "teiresias" (I use it on every forum I'm a member unless it's taken or it's a certain board with specific rules), so it's easy to find myself.

I've been Lonestar here since I've been here. Only problem that's ever been, was there have been 2 of us, and I haven't met Kobe.

Oh, and I found an old post of mine, and it showed I had 2770 posts. Egads, I can't remember any of them. I'm sure 98% of them were the phrases "hah" "heh" "suck" and "Bauer Power"
