If it works just like Bittorrent only without a central tracker, couldn't they still easily get the IPs of the clients connected?

In any case Bittorrent is still pretty useful. People are flipping out because they can't grab movies or TV shows from public trackers anymore, which wasn't a very good idea anyway.

I'm just flipping out because no site has really stepped up to take Suprnova's place. All the replacements offered have been missing something or other....or only let you search files instead of browsing....or if they let you browse, the files aren't ordered in any logical way.

bit torrent doesn't take up so much of your pc's performance either, i hated having kazaa running and not being unable to do nething else. kazaa' s in some big legal case in australia that will determine whether or not it will run i think. Win Mx i useless.

What these idiots at RIAA and MPAA will never understand and I rather enjoy is that you cut one P2P network's head and three arise much stronger to attacks. And until these bloodsucking leeches give up, the P2P networks will keep getting more and more cautious complicated and better. Thank you assholes.

And there's plenty of torrent sites out there.

The alternates carry as great torrents but as stated their unorganised nature is a turnoff. We need scrolling in those other spots.

Yeah, the nice thing about Suprnova was that you could just click on a category and everything would be in alphabetical order......substitute sites are either completely unordered or won't let you browse by category. It wsa always nice to come across some TV show you hadn't seen in a decade while you were just browsing around.....but now you have to know exactly what you're looking for.
