A Plague Tale: Requiem - PC System Requirements Revealed

I don't know about walk, but its certainly better based on my experience with both cards.
Doesnt the 6800XT trade blows with 3080s in many cases.
Id think outside of RT situations the 6800XT is generally the better card.
So im guessing these specs are taking into account Raytracing cuz otherwise its a mismatch putting the 3070 and 6800XT for 1080p60 Ultra.

Its probably gonna look really good tho..
It does look good, but it's another case of PC hardware being under utilised. Yet we see even more powerful cards with even bigger price tags being bought by the truck load 🙄 If the hard-core PC gamer didn't jerk off over the next graphics card release we may see these older cards actually utilised to their potential.

But they recommend a 3070/6800XT, doesn't that mean it's GPU heavy and not underutilised?

I have the CPU (3600) but only a 3060.

Look at what they did to all the poor Sony pony's:

Then the 1080p @ 30fps of the min spec seems wrong.
A GTX970 from 2014?
Unoptimized unless this is one of the best looking games of all time.
What?
1080p60 Ultra settings assuming it has raytracing seems about right.
We dont know what Raytracing its using, but it is a title that has Nvidia support, so they could be using RT for lighting, cuz I doubt there is much benefit to RT Reflections in this.
For perspective Dying Light 2 with all RT effects on barely manages 1080p60 with an RTX 3070.

You are probably really close to the mark here, the game has RT and there is no seperate RT performance reqs listed so I think it makes sense to assume Ultra here means everything maxxed including RT. Really hope the RT is for GI.

It also says rx 590

Which is about the power of seriesS GPU, if series S can do 60fps I would of thought that guu can do it aswell.

The consoles benefit from very tailored settings that get the most out of them, I would expect the XSS to get better results than a desktop GPU with the same basic horsepower (same with the PS5/XSX).

3070 for 60fps on 1080p? Ultra settings must be a placebo.

From high to ultra cost you probably 20% performance the least but has almost no visible difference to high settings. At least that's what I'm hoping for.

I feel like some settings shouldn't exist. Like the cloud settings for AC Valhalla? According to DF, and you know how sensible these guys are, there's no difference between cloud settings ultra and very high but you lose like 30% FPS...

Hope the game scales well with the settings and not like some others where you reduce the visuals to either to shit and gain nothing or there's no visible difference in visuals and performance.

Or "Ultra" includes Raytracing cuz the AMD card is a 6800XT.
Dying Light 2 at Ultra brings a 3070 to its knees at 1080p.
You dont want to know what happens at 2160p

Looking at an "equivalent" GPU on the PC space tells you near nothing about what the consoles will do.
You dont know what settings the Series S is gonna use, you dont know how much driver overhead is being accounted for on the PC side, there a ton of variables to look at, which is why saying well the GPU in the XSX/XSS/PS5 can do X, so this other GPU running a completely different API should do Y.

Yeah, they really need to clarify because I didn't think about RT at all. There's little advertisement of this features and even the specs don't mention it. Given that there's no "single" RT but GI, Reflections, Shadows, etc. this is a potential box of features.

"ultra" could mean anything in that regard.

Why? In traditional rasterised performance PS5 and Series X are on par with an RTX 2080 so a 3070 for 1080/60 at Ultra settings seems about right for 60fps on PC. Consoles will use a mix of Med and High settings.

Consoles also have very good CPU's now and not being used by Windows and all the other shit a PC runs in the background. They also have 12GB of shared memory and insanely fast SSD's. Oh and a fuckton of optimisation for their custom low level API's. It all together helps a lot vs traditional PC hardware.

Think it was John Carmack who said you get close to 2x out of the same hardware if it's in a console.

Its says 1080p 30fps on low though.

I think you will get similar results with a pc with a 590 to a seriesS.

there's no confirmation for that. but 6800xt and 3070 is only compareble with ray tracing so its gotta have ray tracing

2 years in and people still think PC graphics cards and Consoles can be compared and you can say "oh it's basically a 2070" time and time again that is proven to be nonsense and I don't need to list the titles that prove it.

Yes, it has RTX. Lots of it. It's a game sponsored by nvidia.
That's why it requires a 3070 for 1080p-60fps.
And of course, consoles won't have RT features anywhere near to PC ultra settings.

I said it based on rx 590's supposed performance (1080p low 30 fps)
Yeah, I think the seriesS version will be a similer res to the first one. And a 590 will be similar to the seriesS performance.

SeriesS is normally 40-50% the resolution of SeriesX.

I think it will be similar to the last game.

900p 60fps on seriesS
1440p 60fps on SeriesX

It may use some different reconstruction method this time though. Last time it was native with TAA.

All I know is the 3070 is a very powerful card and I don't think this looks that good in terms of pushing it to its limits. Obviously it's much harder to optimise on PC but with more and more powerful cards arriving they don't really need to optimise really which is a shame.
