That's what the recently announced Sonic game is for. From the looks of it the game is going to be the 3D Sonic game people have wanted. A game where he's the star instead of having a bunch of other characters thrown in.

I can't skip it and I've watched that turd like 4 times now. I get game overed, back to title screen and then watch the fucking thing all over again while slamming every button as hard as I can while wiggling the screen hinge for good measure.

All of the bosses are dumb in sonic rush. the levels are great and there are not enough of them, I can beat 2 of the levels in about the time it takes me to beat a broke ass stupid boss. stupid stupid bosses.

By the way....Tails has already had several games so I'd vote Cream or Amy or Big. Anyone but Knuckles. Already got enough generic rage with Shadow. Innocent characters for the win!

Amy could be fun, they could give her a more in-depth hammer melee system, throw her into a surreal "nightmare" situation (Evanescence video? ), and balance it between a mix of moderately tricky/quick platforming and hoardes of enemies.

But knowing Sega, they'd make Super Princess Amy. Then give her a gun anyway.

Yes, Bart, I'm sure most of GAF is going to get a reference to an obscure fangame. (Somewhat enjoyable, true, but obscure.)

And I was just thinking a little more along the lines of DMC, where you don't always have to fight _every_ fight, and there's a little bit of platforming and exploring.

I voted Big since asking this question in the first place is pretty fucking stupid. They should be worrying if they can make a competant Sonic title (excluding the wonderful Sonic Rush). No other Sonic character should star in their own game if Shadow is any indication.

I hope Big wins and we get Sonic Fishing 2007.

Heh, I actually thought that Amy's levels in Sonic Adventure were loads more fun than anything Knuckles related (in those games). The Knuckles "search" stages in both SA titles were just absolute garbage.

How well did Shadow sell anyway?

Pretty much all I can remember about this title are pictures of Shadow driving cars with square tires, and every gaming publication out there laying on the hate... and it being defended by a few 12 year old fans who wouldn't know a good Sonic game if it beat them to death with a rusty steel pipe.

I'm assuming that whichever character they make a spinoff for next will of course be done in a similar fasion to the Shadow game... so I'd vote for Big the Cat, since all of the other charcters on that list deserve better than fricking Sonic Team.
