About applying for a beta testing job in Montreal

One of my friend just told me about this place in Montreal who seems to be a pretty big provider of beta testing services for various compagnies like Nintendo, Sony and other was looking for bew testers, and being jobless right now, I thought about applying.

So what do you guys in the industry recommend? I was thinking about including a writing sample; I was thinking about reviewing Shadow of The Collossus, but then again I realised it might be too niche, and I don't want to end up looking like some sort of niche fruitcake to them. They are also looking for localisation testers, so since I speak english and french, I was also pondering applying for that position.

So what do you guys recommend? Also private messages are there for people who don't want to compromise themselves!

Don't do it if you value your life. And reviews won't help you - try to find ways to break existing games I guess :)

Unfortunately the days were recruited out of testers are mostly over. It's a sucky job.

I'd go with the translation gig. Just put your skills and that you like games. For low level jobs such as contract testing it really doesn't matter much on skills.
Make your resume easy to read.

Localization is going to pay more than testing. If you're going for test, writing sample is probably going overboard, assuming you fill out some kind of application when you walk in. If not, a writing sample is an OK idea.
