PLAYSTATION 5 AND PLAYSTATION 5 PRO VERSIONS

The PlayStation 5 versions of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced will benefit from the PS5's features to enhance players' experience. Features include:

  • Haptic feedback and adaptive triggers with the DualSense controller
  • Fast loading times with SSD
  • Tempest 3D Audio technology
  • Three graphics modes
    • 60 FPS Performance mode
    • 30 FPS Fidelity mode
    • 40 FPS Balanced mode (requires 120hz display)
  • Raytraced Global Illumination (RTGI) across all graphics modes, with Fidelity mode adding raytraced reflections
Additionally, the PS5 Pro version of the game is specifically enhanced with higher graphical fidelity and additional rendering features for an even more dazzling visual experience. Lastly, the game ships with PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution 2.0 (PSSR 2) right out of the box, allowing you to further improve visual quality while maintaining high performance on the console.

I've got the specs for Extreme but hopefully the optimization is done well on the game,, from low to extreme is quite a jump in tech.

Interesting they mentioned a 9070xt from amd then jumped to 4090. Like... Isn't there a 5070ti that is same if not a little better than 9070ti ? 5080 ?

Are these guys very poor they couldn't buy a 5000 series card ?

Note the 24GB VRAM on the extreme setting, looks to be a memory limitation, not compute--assuming it's accurate and they're not just being overly conservative. Ubisoft/Anvil games favor AMD in terms of performance, but even so the 5080 outperformed the 7900XTX on Shadows in 4K RT and the 5070Ti and 9070XT were only a hair behind. 16GB VRAM has to be what's keeping them out of the Extreme settings, but I personally doubt it's accurate, I'd be shocked if Extreme has any real issues on 16GB card.

I don't think so

I dont think this game or game for that matter will require more than 16gb this generation. dont forget in the specs they are using upscaler from 2k even. its not a vram issue

16gb should be good to go for another 2 to 3 years

They dont mention anything about 5000 series, its like this spec list was made 2 years back while they were developing the game and never bothered to test it on new cards even on AMD side.

Slightly lower than AC Shadows. Either better optimisation or lesser visuals. Probably the later.

Still decent requirements for 2026 title apart from the fact that everything requires upscaling.

Make me wonder how low the resolution is on base PS5.
You mean for performance mode? Fidelity mode sounds exactly like AC shadows. May be they have found ways to scale down RTGI this time around to make it viable at 60 fps. Like id Tech or 4A engine.

Yes. All modes have RTGI. Unless there are implemented a heavy optimization, I don't think either locked 60 or decent resolution is possible.
Curious to see how it turns out in performance mode. Assuming they can somehow nail the frame rate, it sounds better than AC shadows, where it looked almost a generation behind without RTGI.
