AC3Filter question

So, I'm playing a DIVX file that uses AC3 sound. Unfortunately, I only have two speakers, so I'm operating in the two speaker stereo mode.

The result of this however, is EXTREMELY quiet speech and dialogue, as opposed to louder sounds, such as explosions.

Is there any way to fix this? To increase the volume of the speech without turning the overall volume any higher?

I'm interested, too. I recently pulled the audio from all of Seu Jorge's David Bowie covers (finally~!) on the Life Aquatic 2-disc set and converted those to MP3. In the AC3 ripper I used I could normalize but I'm not sure what you could do once it's ripped.

I'd try going into your Control Panel and looking at some of the AC3Filter settings for mixing and gain. Theres one for "Voice Surround LFE" which might help. You might want to try posting this at afterdawn.com or doom9.net, the people there are much more familiar with these things than I am.
