Account "Hacks": Why do they happen & What you can do?

Jesus, Yahoo. I made an account there for Flickr, but luckily I already had the password managed by LastPass and 2-step verification enabled.


EDIT: Last.Fm too? ._. LastPass shows I have a random password, but who knows when I changed it?

Disgusting if they did not reveal details of the hack to the public in 2012.

FFS Last.FM, man I think I might have to just get a google email account and start using unique sub-email addresses on top of unique passwords. Just cant seem to trust any company with basic information storage/security...
